Your setup actually does not work. Rubber is not an isolator, Granite is not anti resonance, your wood table rings like a bell. I'll wager if you listen to the plinth with a stethoscope and tap the wood table, you will hear it. By far a better solution is simply just Sorbothane pieces under the feet of the plinth. Sorbothane is the only material on earth that actually does not transmit vibration (when properly used).

I work with fiber ribbons and single stranded fibers. They are pretty flexible from a physical standpoint. They can be bent around a pencil without breaking but any bend less than a common soda can will show errors with a any fiber testing equipment so definitely pay attention how you are storing and routing. Also there must be a conversion at the plug bcs you can't just plug hdmi fibers into the copper hdmi port on your TV or components. This is what most likely is causing issues with the fiber as fiber on it's own i spliced properly to equipment made to recieve optical cable is remarkable but this is definitely not a fiber connection to fiber connection. So I agree unless you need long runs go with what works. Copper hdmi already meet the required specs for any TV and component on the current market. Why pay extra for speeds your components arent running at that doesn't do what you need it to do reliably yet that cost 3 to 4xs over copper hmdi? When the time comes that tvs are sold and 8k 18k hits the market they will have much more reliable cables at the time.

The protective layer of a screen can be damaged even by isopropyl. You'd want to use a lower percent like the 70% he has and not to drown it, apply it to your towel (so that it dries quickly off the screen).

Parts of this video are incorrect. Isopropyl alcohol is used in the electronics industry and it is a safe and effective cleaner, but what is being cleaned in the industry is not grease, in is the flux residue left after the soldering operation. Isopropyl alcohol will dissolve grease, but is not the best solvent for this, something like lighter fuel, or many other organic solvents without an -OH hyroxyl group, will work better, but some of them might also possibly dissolve your whole TV. Ethyl alcohol is not "greasy and corrosive" it has very similar properties to isopropyl alcohol, missing one carbon atom in the chain compared to propanol (or isopropyl alcohol). Ethyl alcohol (=ethanol) is not easy to obtain in it's pure form as the government worries about you evading duty. You buy it as usually IMS (industrial methylated spirits) and you need a licence to buy it, vodka is quite close. I use IMS for preserving spiders. So this video is incorrect technically, but for practical purposes correct enough.
