Maestro, thank you for your video "Descending Third Sequences (aka descending 5-6)" this is teaching. I need to ask a question that has to do with the wonderful video you have posted. In regards to the Descending Third Sequence (Down 4 Up 2 (5 - 6) that the (descending 5 -6 ) also pertain to the Ascending Seconds (Down 3 Up 4). Is there an Ascending 5 - 6 and to what Sequence does it pertain. Again, thank for sharing you knowledge with us. Grazie

Merci beaucoup for this. This is slightly out of my pay grade (actually a lot) but I've become the music theory geek, even though my ear training and keyboard skills are lacking. Very simply explained, and I'll soon be moving into another tax bracket.

I just started my musicology course in uni and this week learned about ludomusicology. I've always wanted to be a VGM composer and the fact that without having studying it in detail I already expected much of this info through experience made me feel like this is the right path to follow. Cheers!

The 6th-step in the bass from bar 2 to bar 3 is quite unusual, and it's the source of the troubles in the bar before. At all, the bass line is strange, the leading tone b reached from c but not resolved. I would have written the bass rather: c-d-g-f-e-a-g-e-f-d-e-d-c, to avoid the descending scale at the end. Of course, one can write also the scale from a to c, but, in this case, the tonic is rather weak and would deserve one more d-c to be stable.

Hi Jeff - Unfortunately, no - the program runs sequentially, and even if you were to attach multiple speakers, you could not use the "Tone" command to create multiple notes - one note has to stop before the next can sound.
