The adult male dodged everyone of those strikes by ducking and moving back laterally with crazy speed and everyone talks about how good the sub adult did by throwing a couple strikes.
These guys are like 400-500 pounds with no fat.
Their roars are so powerful its scary. turn up the volume.
Lion: he had me scared. I held my own though.

Really is a thrill especially as it was two different families in two locations Kicheche Mara North and Kicheche Bush in Olare Conservancy. Amazing spotting from the guides in the early season long grass !
Wow this youngster reminds me of the legendary Scarface. He is definitely a very smart and strong Lion. Need to know who he is. He will be talked about just like all the other legends before him.

A serval jumping a river and a lion without a tail. Usually it’s prey species you see with missing tails and servals lurking and hunting. So both of those were sights I’ve never seen. I’ve been to Africa many times but never during the height of the green season. AND to a Kicheche camp only once!

One of the terrific Kicheche Camps! And I am guessing that was the Manager of the camp doing the voiceover-Minnie aims to please ALWAYS and she does! Great camp, great manager, great guides, great staff, great viewing! When you leave, you will already be making plans to return.

Kicheche Camps are FANTASTIC! They are exactly what a safari camp should be-highly functional, very comfortable, great food, unbelievably talented guides, but no distractions like pools and saunas. Safari life is watching animals do just what they would be doing if you weren’t there-hunting food, protecting their babies, avoiding dangers, at times babies are playing, adults resting. To sit close to those wild animals and watch this happen is spine tingling at times, awesome always, and brings you closer to what Nature truly is.
