How to become A FORENSIC NURSE EXAMINER/SANE NURSE!!!
I’m doing nursing pre-reqs right now and I’d lovee to do this job, but I’m worried it won’t pay as much as other nursing jobs 😭
I'm so glad you are explaining it. Thanks for making this channel. I recently decided what career I wanted to do and it would be this 🤭
Good morning. How would someone become a forensic nurse, start your finish? Thanks for your videos! 🎉
I’m starting my nursing degree in September !! Planning on being a forensic nurse !!!
I want to learn more about this. I'm currently finishing my pre-reqs for nursing and working to get my ABSN (already have a bachelors). Any tips?
Well said. Happy Nurses' Week!
The only person that ever demonstrated lack of joy in my career journey similar was someone visibly with bi polar.😊
A true nurse’s nurse ❤
I’m a forensic nurse examiner too! I love it so much ❤
It is the BEST!!! ♥️
That's good some people take their jobs seriously.. we do not go to the hospital unless totally necessary.. the nurses and doctors at the hospital are just putting in their hours for pay..
It makes me so happy to hear this, I’ve thought a lot about going back to school for nursing. However, I constantly hear about it being a horrible profession and women truly disliking it. This is refreshing
Thank you for all you do Happy nurses week to you also. Can't do without coffee for sure😂
I remember following you on TT and loving your journey! I had just started nursing school at that time and now I am one semester away from graduating and planning out my future. I’m heavily looking into forensic nursing, so THANK YOU!!!
Happy Nurses Week!!!! Your truly the backbone in healthcare. God bless
Happy nurses week!👩🏽⚕️🩺
What do I need to do to become a forensic nurse. I’m really interested in becoming one
Love this for you!❤ Thank you for your hard work in the field!
Love your videos currently in nursing school can’t wait to be in your shoes 😭❤️
Thank you for your video! Very interesting. I am also a forensic nurse , but in Belgium. I only work with victims of sexual violence. The number of victims at our centre is much lower( also not a big unsafe city) I was wondering how many victims do you see each day. Do you work alone each shift?
Hi!!! Great questions, I definitely feel like violence in my city is increasing rapidly as it grows. It is hard to put an actual number on how many patients I typically see in a day but what I can say is that last year I saw roughly 80 SA patients and so far this year I am around 15-20 exams. That is just for myself and I work full time (three 12 hour shifts a week). I used to work alone most of my shifts, but because our numbers have been so high my program has been able to justify more staffing so now we are working 2 nurses at a time!
Wait..what do u do? I’m interested.
Hi!!! I care for patients who are survivors of violence, that includes sexual assault, domestic violence, gun violence, physical assault, human trafficking, child abuse, and elder abuse! I have a lot of information on my TikTok as well but working on more CZcams videos!
What does a forensic nurse do?
Mam,i am from india. I would like to become a forensic nurse..which course do you prefer? Msc forensic nursing?....how much year do you take to complete this course...i complete bsc nursing...then what should i do
Thank you so much for what you are doing, and explaining about this career! First time learning about this option that nurses can go to. How different it is with bedside nursing, except the fact that you primarily work with patients dealing with crime/assault + working with the police? Is there not a lot of difference between the two in general? Thank you!
What degree do I have to have this job
Most programs prefer Bachelor’s in nursing degree!
Were you in a float pool haha?
Nope! Just many many different med surg jobs over 7.5 years!!! 🤣
😴 'promosm'
So what is it? Talk about burying the lead
Forensic nursing is a specialty that combines the principles of nursing with those of forensic science to provide specialized care to patients involved in legal cases. Forensic nurses help collect evidence, offer crisis interventions, provide specialized medical care, and serve as expert witnesses in legal proceedings.
Truly be thinking about this as my part time job as a nurse
You should do a video on salary as a forensic nurse examiner/SANE and how you should choose your place of work
aww I'm so happy for you dear ^u^ btw I'm a girl this is actually my father's account lol
Thank youuu for helpful info!!! Im so interested in forensic nursing
I love the hair
Thank you!!!❤
4 mins in and I resonate with you so much from the mothering and stability aspect. I also started to look into nursing due to hw interest assessment. It always made me feel invalid when people ask “what made you choose nursing?” And my answer would start with those assessment. I just glad I’m not the only one.
Can you please explain your profession I'm very interested to know 😊
Me too!
I wish I had done more after my SA, over 15 years ago. I didn’t feel like I had a safe place to go, or people I could trust. When I talked to the “friends”, who were also friendly with my perpetrator, I found out many years later that it was planned, between my roommate, best gay friend, and the friend of my friend, who was dating my roommate. I found that out many, many year later, that all three conspired to “loosen me up”. When I asked my RA and college to help, I was the one forced to move. I was told I am overreacting, when I asked if my former friend and perpetrator could be removed from campus, because they weren’t students. I was the one that was the one, who was shamed, by a priest, because I “must’ve asked for it”, when my parents asked me to talk to someone. I hated them all for a long time, but now, more often than not, just like the T. Swift song say, “I forgot that you existed!” I have healed, and I tell anyone, who will listen, about how dangerous that college is; 74% of female students, on that campus, have dealt with SA, in some way, and the administration doesn’t think there is a problem! I am glad there is better education, and much more prominent advocates, than even 15 years ago! Thank you for all that you do!!
Nurses, don't wish you were physicians. It sucks to do most the work only for the MD to get the credit, social recognition and $. Poor nurses.
