And that's what I was afraid of. I'm looking for a motor for my canoe. I think mine might be a bit larger but I don't need that either!
25hp🤭
You rode right past my neighborhood! 😀👍 Did you ride back to Cordova or take the ferry back?
I rode back, was originally trying to make it to palmer but the weather turned on me. next year though!
@@TheWildAlaskan damn! Second year in a row you’ve made the round trip. Planning to go all the way to Palmer, whoa! It’d be cool to see your route. I’m not aware of anyone who’s ridden from Valdez to Palmer before through the mountains.
Great video! Thanks for sharing! What sled kit do you have? What bike do you have it on? Cheers! 👍🏻🍻🇺🇸
Its a stock 22 450sxf the kit is a 2016 mountain horse ST with the prototype cordova powersports 156x3.2" track conversion and tunnel extension. Setup can carry a total of 17.5 gallons of fuel as well as some gear. would have a cruising range of over 200 miles.
Thanks
I don't know what ski you have but I'd rather play with a rattle snake than ride my ARO 3 across pavement or any hard icy surface. Great video as always!
Its the stock ski with the powder skeg, so you could say its sub-optimal haha
dude! so few in this world have learned to become as proficiently experienced as you have at... holding the camera still and moving super slowly while doing panoramic 360 degree views. good job. and thanks for sharing your snow bike riding. its quite inspiring!
I may have cheated and used a panoramic photo
@@TheWildAlaskan smart. i shoulda picked up on that.
Is this conversion available ? Thanks
hope to have it released to the public before next season!
Epic man, thanks for the beta.
I'd'a been hitch-hiking.
Epic, very Epic Adventure!! Thank you for taking us along!
You are paying exactly $2.00 more than me for go juice, here in NCW (but I'm just getting the 'cheap stuff' 💩💩💩). Thanks for keepin' it real with the urban guerrilla footage. You're really putting some miles on that sucker. CHEERS!
It just goes on forever doesn't it! Nice of someone to leave you a track & marked trail.
I'm gonna have to buy a bike and a conversion sled after seeing a season of you making the trips thru the glaciers. I've wanted to do that trip for 25 years now and was always told "it was impossible" well you have shown the world, it is possible. the big question is, can the trip be made by mountain sled or does it have to be a converted dirt bike due to the terrain?
This route would be possible on a mountain sled in the right conditions, some of the weaving through crevasses and some of the downhill maneuvering would be much more challenging on a sled. Going out wortmans vs browns would also save a few miles of sidehilling
These videos are great!!!! Look forward to everyone you make!!!
🏁🏁🏁
Epic. Inspiring me to turn up my T Pass adventures. Need to go further than 25 miles from the road.
Awesome
tell me about your set up what bike ? what kit are you running ?

@@TheWildAlaskan thanks and that's awesome I have the FC 450 with the arrow 3 kit in my second bike is a sherco 450 with a riot kit on it I believe I have one more month of riding before putting the bikes away I live about 25 minutes from the snow line it looks like you live pretty close to it thank you for your response I like your videos I also record and put them on CZcams
Pretty convinced my '10 YZ450 needs a conversion. ❤ Wouldn't jump into these epic climbs, but they definitely look like a ton of fun to ride! Can't wait to finish my place in Wasilla and move back home!!!!!
They are a blast and way easier then a snowmachine
this is so epic
That's so high! Man, that trip is such a unique area to be in all by yourself!!
Tow me on my paraglider bro
Wow, that is so cool. I want to try. What are those tracks in the snow at 3:13?
Ice worm! 😆
@@TheWildAlaskan LOL. Naturally. Seriously tho, aren't you concerned about crevasses and snow bridges up there?
@@gw-swiss for sure, most the time the snow is so deep the time of year I do these trips most the risk is less especially if you are paying close attention and the lighting is good.
@@TheWildAlaskan Absolutely amazing to see you look up these massive mountains and make your way up in minutes on a snow bike which would take hours or days on skis. Is a snowmobile capable too or does the snow bike have a unique advantage? Thanks for answering my naive questions:-)
@@gw-swiss In the right conditions it would be possible on a snowmobile, there is some fairly extensive side hilling some with high penalties for failure. Some of the downhill turns required would also be more difficult on a sled.
I see you fear no crevasse 😆
Ha an epic and ever wondrous ride. Well done
"And the cracks began to show."!! Haha ... man, I've only dreamt of riding through glaciers like that!
watching from France ahahhaha so beautiful its insane thank u!!!
So epic!
You sure must know how to read all the various conditions of snow. Aren't you afraid of falling into a hidden crevasse? Do you carry a SAT phone? What would you do if you had a major breakdown? Seems like a lot of stress on the motor to be pulling hard continuously through the deep snow...to me anyway. You really are a Wild Alaskan my friend.
I do carry an inreach and let the local heli skiing operation know what days i plan to be out there. My older bike , a 2016 has over 300 snow biking hours on it, still going strong!
Absolutely epic man. I just want to hear your thoughts and commentary on this... I know machines break down at anytime. I snowmachine a lot, but haven't been further than Woodworth or Tonsina. Do you think the risk snowbiking alone, or with 2 or 3 or any number of snowbiking parters could be more risky if a machine breaks, being that a snowmachine could carry 2 people on most slopes. I'm not so sure about snow bikes? Keep on shredding!
I spend a lot of time checking things to reduce the risk of breaking down as much as possible, Seems a lot of times the more people involved the more likely the ride becomes a mess. Its usually not too big of a deal to double up on a snow bike, but with the amount of weight already on board even with the 156 track i am running it would probably still be a pain. Overall I would say I prefer to ride by myself or with one other person on these longer rides, beyond two people I think there is real diminishing returns on the success of the ride
Totally epic when you ride a snow bikeup and heli skiers pay hundreds or thousands, to see a snow bikegoing by as they get off the helicopter. Have fun ride safe
Man you have to be the only person for miles doesn’t look like anyone has been there
except for the skiing marks about 30 seconds into the video lol
@@torxxx1 pretty sure those are his tracks this dude rides in very remote places.
@@TopcatAK it is the heli skiers, they are the only others who ever touch the terrain thats this remote At this point in time I am the only person to have ridden the majority of these areas you will see in this video. next year some other locals want to try it though!
Crazy to think that’s how a lot of the pacific nw used to look. Fucking cool
WOW! Beautiful!
Smurf City got buried! Still a lot of features!!
too much snow! haha
So cool you did this ride again!
Last minute crevasse dodger! Haha
Insanity!
ballsy move through that cut.....
Wow crazy gnarly ride on the hard packed snow. Wild times on the single track. Have fun ride safe
Gravel bottom creek crossing with 17g of gas wasn't bad...but that keyhole was nuts!!
Love this! You’re my favorite superhero
awesome footage!
👍👍
Amazing pull. Do you do a preventative top-end mid-season or anything like that?
About every 200 engine hours
Where is this place?
Closest town is green river Utah
Whoa! Not sure if 99% of people would believe you did this unless there was a video! Congratulations this was insane to watch even though the camera makes it look easier and less high or steep on either side 🎉🎉🎉
Hope you had beacons on you lol
awesome dude!
