hi im interested in doing neuropsychology and came across your video which i find very insightful! i just finished my undergrad psychology degree and looking to do a masters. i’ve not seen many neuropsych masters but have seen cognitive/clinical neuroscience MSc’s which seem interesting, would you say these two masters would be good for neuropsych? or would a masters focused on neuropsychology be better?

Excellent video Phil! I have an idea for a video. Have you considered going over the various therapeutic modalities a Psychologist could utilize? CBT, DBT, Psychodynamic, etc. Theres also psychoanalytic institutes that train psychologists and psychiatrists in old-school psychoanalysis proper.

I've got masters degree in psychology in Ukraine, around ten years ago, and now, living in the US considering whether I should get a degree here, or just continue working in another field. Tough . I still love psychology, just not sure if it's worth it spending that much time and money in a long run. Heyy, I just found your page plan on watching more videos later, I am an LMFT and wishing I had extra training in Neuro, wondering if you have a video on books you recommend for those of us who are trying to be more mindful about when to refer out and how to support clients better. I have not seen as many Phd programs on neuropsychology and worry I am late to being able to being able to get into these programs but would love to start expanding!

Hi this video was really helpful. But I do have a question. What would a BS look like for psych? If I would want to be a licensed therapist but also still want to do neuroscience as well? Can you still be a therapist if you do a BS in psych rather than BA? I am interested in psychology and neuroscience. (Leaning towards majoring in psych and minoring in neuro or even double majoring) but my end goal is just blurry. I would love to be a mental health therapist but I’m also interested in research. For example researching brains and giving out psychological assessments which you stated in the video. ( dont think I wanna go on the pre med track tho)

Clinical psychology

Thanks for the vid. I got low GPA 3.0 (suddenly dropped to lowest during covid and improved after). Got 2 yr research xp and 2 publications. will GRE scores help compensate? what else can i do to have a chance?

I’m in highschool and don’t really know what pre med major to pick. It’s hard because this sounds very interesting but like I don’t have much experience in this subject. Is that bad? Do you have any advice because I don’t really know what major to even consider.

Great information! I would like to know more about choosing an internship site: hospital, FQHC, university, VA, private practice counseling center, etc. Also, what specialties require fewer assessments. I really don't like them 😅
