@@MATechCZcams thanks for the response. I tried with USB method and via rootmy tv via webpage. It didn't work. I think it's already "patched" cos it was updated not to long ago. You know of any other ways I get apps on my LG TV. The app store has so many silly apps and none of the ones that are useful. Best one I installed so far has to be streamio with the torrentio add on. Keep up the good work man. 👍 Respect

This won’t work if you used the previous method, if that method worked but doesn’t now then it means you’re probably on a firmware that’s been patched. Check the website to confirm.

I see why you’d say that and it probably would make the front stage seem wider (I did test this before installing) but in person this works perfectly as it stretches to the edges of the screen and with lights off that appears to be the full front wall. The front to sides effects are really good, only problem is most content doesn’t use the rears unless I use auro3d and fake those channels audio. Also I have them aligned with my atmos firing points therefore changing them now would also change any atmos affects so probably not worth the change at this stage. Ideally I would’ve liked them stacked vertically but that would impede on the image for the outer seats so a little compromise was needed.

Freezing how? On channels or the box locks up? If it’s channels then make sure your internet speed to the box is sufficient, if it’s the box then you will need to clear cache or possibly even a hardware reset may be needed if there’s a bug in the software. They have after sales support so I suggest contacting them to troubleshoot fully.

I didn’t have any issues with channels themselves, a few were labelled wrong but no big issues

Try it with a hard wired Ethernet cable to be sure it’s not the internet causing the issue.

Most likely you’ve updated your tv and thus the exploit has been patched. You can confirm this via the website which will list compatible firmware versions.

Most likely not but always worth trying for the sake of a few mins this process takes. Also exploits will always be patched if you update your firmware on any device, same applies to phone exploits where they’ll usually always be patched on latest firmwares.

Any smart remote will be able to get the instant function as well if you have one, just search for lg and it’ll be in the list of programmable buttons.

You’ve probably updated your tv which means it’s patched from what I’ve read. Contact the developers and they’ll should be able to confirm based on your firmware

Nope, the box is capable of 4K but the channels still come down to the server that’s outputting it and we have no control over that. For better quality it would need to be an elite box as they have more packages that do offer better quality albeit you won’t find many that are 4K that you’d actually watch (only ones I remember was a stocks update channel that was in 4K).

Performed okay, you will get some glare off the windscreen as you do with all dash cams that are a distance away from the glass, but nothing crazy.

No, webos isn’t Android based so you can’t install apks onto it

Should automatically update after you turn the box off and back on, usually you just leave it with internet and the elite apps automatically install but you do have to go and manually down load the actual packages. Worst case scenario it may need to be reset so it downloads the newest versions of each app. I’ve asked the question but not heard back from them on this.

Don’t think that one was working when I reviewed the box anyway was it? It’s been a while since I tested the box and lately I’ve not used any boxes as too busy working and producing video on other products I’ve been sent

I don’t make videos for my benefit, I make them so others who may want to purchase are aware. If you buy a £300-400 device and they block it within 24hours would you be happy?

What option you looking for, I thought it’s just listed in the normal Android settings menu if you dig into it.

Runs great, can choose to have it in CarPlay or Android mode. I generally use CarPlay when I’m going somewhere with navigation and keep it in Android mode when just local.

ROM relates to the hard disk space, RAM is the memory, the more you can have in both of these the better, but you won’t need to install much (and the apps aren’t usually that big) so more RAM is better as that’s what’s used to run apps and makes the system snappier.

No, elite model is supposed to be their best albeit the elite apps aren’t working right now and they’ve said they’re working to restore them.

Have you used a different method previously? If so then this won’t work. Also check the website to see if your firmware has been patched by LG as they’ve put out 2 firmware updates since this was released and if you have automatic updates enabled you’ve probably updated.

@@MATechCZcams As I have mentioned, with the method that you have described the TV _was_ rooted. It is true that I did try another method some time ago but meanwhile I reset it to factory defaults ( twice ). Last firmware update issued by LG ( v 6.10.50 ) was 18 months ago and at the time I did not care about rooting so I did allow the TV to update to that version. Meanwhile I disabled the updates. I enabled ssh and I will try to fiddle around, see what gives. Anyway, thanks for the video and the advices !

There is a guide on fixing this issue on homebrew discord server, it worked for me on webos 05.40.20

Where do I even begin with this question? How exactly aren’t you satisfied and what’s the issue? If you’re using a pc connection then the quality of the playback comes down to 2 things, 1: the settings you’re using on the tv for the pc connection (assuming you’re using hdmi) 2: how your pc is processing the image/audio depending on its specs and what application you’re using to playback the file. I play Remux blurays via my Nas drive all the time using my Apple TV/zidoo z9x but I haven’t tried them directly via the tv but it sounds like you’re using your pc anyway so it’s not relevant to this video.

@@MATechCZcams sir i am using certified hdmi 2.1 cable and calibrated the windows hdr as well while playing the image had clarity in 16:9 but lot of the image was more grainy compared to streaming like disney plus or prime 2nd i tried to use the lg smart share app in windows this way i can directly give folder access to my oled Then the video was automatically played in dolby vision instead of hdr which was good Is there any way on remote to check if the qualiy is 4k I can see dolby vision and hdr icon when playing the movie

Another thing is yesterday i did manual pixel cleaning, my oled was just 120hrs But still i did is it going to make the overall brightness of my tv dim? Heard it over reddit

Have you tested what speeds your box is actually getting?

I don’t think you’ve understood the issue here, it’s the seller of this particular box that has blocked the box as she didn’t want an actual review and instead just wanted an advert. I’ve had no issues with any other box, this box is the only one I’ve had this problem with.
