Nicely done ✅
Junior always knows ❤️
Saw them all over Ireland, especially the Rathfanham Inn,Trevor on keyboards
Hugely underrated by all..
Oh boy...heard this track on Peter Powell's radio 1 show in the 80's...and here it is!

Hi, I'm sure you got the initial percussion from Mikey Hart Island groove!😂😂😂 Tell me if it's true...
I remember this song from back in the dayyyyyyyyyy!!!!!!! Brings back some amazing memories
This is amazing!!!
We used to RUN out from the Kenny Scharf room at Tunnel to the dance floor when we heard this come on. Miss those days
My birthday tomorrow, I’ll be…..another senior year
Choon! This song always comes into my head on Nov 1st. Hadn’t heard it in years. You gotta love You Tube!
In my opinion this is one of the most complete songs of all time. Almost up there with 'Never let her slip away' by Andrew Gold.
Same same, lyrics popped into my head, could hear melody and music but couldn’t remember the band name, amazingly can’t find song or band on Apple, Spotify or lyric finder apps / websites but You Tube had it😅, great Choon from adolescence and great to hear it again
1:38, 1:45 & 7:05 is Simply Awesome!!👍🏻👌🏻
Incredible tune
This is my song I would dance like.... 💃💃💃💃💃💃💃💃
Saw them in little old killarney back then ,brilliant song, brilliant band!
It sounds like Matrix and Juno Reactor :)
It's a wonderful song that plays in my mind ever since the eightees. Auto da fe was full of promises
Great memories of The Baggot Inn, Auto Da Fe, Stepaside, Brush etc
Turned on rte radio 1 @ 06.25 this morning on my way home from night shift and this wonderful song by auto de fe was played, what a blast from the past another 80s classic my era late teenage years and early 20s
What a classic
Possibly the greatest house track ever.
agreed.
This is Kathleen's son Michael in Quebec (on holidays) on November 1st, thinking of the times I saw this song performed in The Showboat in Waterford. I still have the t-shirt! Well done to whoever uploaded it.
This man is the Beethoven of modern times; he should be much more recognized, this song can only be composed by a genius, thanks God to let Wolfsheim sould fly!
Fantastic memories of Lark in the Park Blackrock..in '82 (?) ....what a perfection combination Woods and Knight were.
2:31 incomprehensible perfection.
I've had this song running through my mind for years - I didn't even know who it was by, couldn't find it on Spotify. Just brilliant to have finally tracked it down. What a great song and singer. It's slightly new age kitsch, but just ace. Thank you so much
*@Andy Wilkinson* ☘️ Iv had this running through my head for years too. I was a staunch luddite at the begining of the whole IT internet world, refusing to move with the times until I discovered I could track down so much music that I otherwise couldn't - sometimes with just a few lyrics of a song, like this. Needless to say, I converted very quickly then. ☘️
I'm almost in the ame boat. I've been searching for a song for years too. Had it on a mix tape i made form snatches of Dave Fanning's Rock show on Radio 2 ( Ireland) back in the 80's. The part I have in my head sounds very like this song. The voice, the music but the lyrics were " And they were bad people...." When I heard the opening bars of this song, I was sure I had found it! Maye I'm remembering wrong. Maybe a B side? But this is SO so close.
Never knew Phil Lynott produced this great song.
Honestly Wolfsheim are an honorary goth band, they may not fit exactly but it’s lyrics like these that really make them have the same value in the subculture
The memory of the name and this song came into my head from Nowhere today and I had to search it out. I loved this song back in the 80's - and I still do - must be 20/30years since I heard it. Alexa couldn't translate auto-da-fe - so Great job youtube!! Thanks
This song and all the band's most famous recording are now available on Bandcamp.com Fantastic collection!
My birth month
What a sound, fantastic. Back when I had hair 😁😁😁😁
Rip my friend Mark Megaray Hogan 😭
It's a beautiful song , I love listening to it . The lady has a wonderful voice.
My favourite Vasquez remix!
Outstanding remix! It’s a shame it’s so rare. :(
Quite possibly my all time favorite house music song.
This song, this specific version of it, influenced the tone of one of the first books I ever wrote. I'm not sure how I ever stumbled across it being more of a 70s/80s girl, but I'm glad it found me :-) (The book was called Death and Other Inconveniences)
Thank you PatrickJG1 for uploading this incredibly beautiful song. It’s been lodged in my psyche since the 80’s. Still kills me to this day especially in November.
nobody does it like Junior.
One that got away. Bought this in the cheap bins at woolies,,, such a classic 80s song. Traditional to play this 1st nov,, and every day up until advent. CLASSIC.
What a beautiful voice
Wonderful track. Sadly not on Spotify...
Just freaks me out, everytime. What songs these 2 produced....
SPECTACULAR BASS
Hearing this at Arena (the Palladium) in NYC at probably about 8am was heaven.
One of the darker cuts from Chris, still timeless sound
so fuckin good
