Yep, the season before we get relegated so Steve Bruce signed a load of new players. We managed to loan 3 players from Arsenal for the season including Bentner. Wenger allowed it to help strengthen the players' focus and be tested in the high pressure situation of a promotion fight (we were bookies favourites for promotion). Had a solid squad, honestly some of the best football I've ever saw the blues play, and enough to get promoted back to the BPL.

and honestly, steve bruce was a good manager for us. mcleish ruined jerome by keeping him isolated in attack for many games. the season when we were in the championship (06/07) was just a great team, unfortunately we haven't gone forward since then.
