We also have been participating in a Echinocereus triglochidiatus rescue in Rio Rancho about 45 miles north of us. I'm about to send in another cono seed order! What the name of the small clear topping pebbles you use. I'm pretty sure you answered this somewhere, and I've tried looking for sandblasting media like it, but no luck at all.
It is small glass we got from a friend. But if you put a note in your order we could sell you some. I have found on Amazon small crushed glass but I am not sure if it is smooth like these little pebbles we have.
So you guys never use grow lights? Do the seedlings still grow fast? Do they stop over the winter?
Until just recently, we have not used lights. However we have just started in the last few months giving a try with lights. We will try to have a video of what we have been doing.
What is your preferred Mealy bug spray?

I've got some seedlings of these from seeds I bought from y'all that I sowed over winter! They're accidentally co-planted with a single Puya alpestrus that managed to hop into their pot, but they're still too small for me to feel comfortable separating them. Thanks for sharing how you processed them from the fruit!

Have you seen the original seed list. He required that when ordering one had to put everything in numerical order or would not fill the order. I have ordered a lot of seed in the past and from you. In the beginning he had a lot of rare succulent seed that made bushes.
You all have a very inspiring nursery! I hope to start my own someday.

How do you take care of them? They are native to Florida which means they can see up to 70 inches per year. Are they still on a one week schedule in NM?
They get watered once a week and they do fine. Obviously they can handel more water but they do well for us.

Proportion of mixtures
1 part sand, 1 part peat moss, 1 part perlite/pumice and 1/2 part vermiculite
Why u give so much soil depth if they don't use a significant percentage of it
They are going to be in these pots for 2-3 years so eventually they’ll fill up the whole thing with roots.

So what is the proper way to store cactus seeds? A couple months ago I tried sowing seeds that I've had for at least 15yrs and none of them sprouted. The seeds were several varieties but mostly Ariocarpus.
We keep our seed dry and cool in coin packets. Ariocarpus are certainly harder but if they are old seed, be patient they can take longer to come up. We sowed some old retusus this last summer and it took a long time but they eventually came up.
Please a follow up video of this scleros, they are a bit tricky to cultivate.
