Like you said Glenn, there's going to be many more of these in years to come. There are so many different amp brands out there now, boutique and otherwise. Hell I watched a video the other night with three amp brands I had never heard of, each making a beautiful looking and sounding amp & each one better than anything I'd ever heard before. And not to mention individuals getting into the game and making a splash..

Different impedances(8 or 16 ohm) on Cabs isn't going to make anything sound any different. What it will do however is either lesson or increase your output volume. Just FYI

I have the same guitar for practising/recording stuff (I'm actually a bassist) and I've already eyed the PAF-like Alnico 2 version of those FLEOR, for a bit more versatility and dynamics for low and medium gain stuff - IME (as bassist) it's generally easier to boost stuff afterwards than tame it, within reason. I'm glad to see yet another good review for them - though these are the Alnico 5. Stock ones are rather microphonic through actual amps and the neck one is really bassy. Plus I guess they're ceramic and their output is quite high and compressed for cleaner stuff. You're right about the switch, it might be worthwhile starting on a clean one with better soldering points, especially 'cause I might be tempted to wire them with the splitting option. I have an issue with mine, it has ear killing feedback once it goes past a certain distortion or volume level. Not sure if I should be expecting this. Nice to hear a Northern Irish accent as well!

I feel the pickups on Vintage V6 is superior to any Fender. Mine stays in tune forever.

Mine needed new strings, made it sound like a new guitar. Also had to regrouped the bridge. Then it was for a long time my main gigging bass. Such great value. Buy it.

I prefer the stock pickups myself. If ‘upgrading’ a HB, I’d recommend first the strings, then the pots then the tuners. For pickup… try Cathy on scar my guitar. Easier maybe when swapping parts, de solder one wire at a time and then so,def the new wire where you took the old one off. Takes a bit more time to do it one by one but hugely reduces the chances of getting it wrong!

I've got one the way in 2024. I plan on using an eq in the FX loop and running the preamp into a Seymour Duncan Powerstage for 100 watts if needed live.

Honestly if to do is unstring and hit the string ferrule points with a countersink or just a drill bit or file to make contact , that's minimal work for an oversight that they should have dealt with. I'd have it unstrung and apart to put copper shielding in anyhow. 3-4 min extra work nothing more. also I'd be putting a pickguard sticker over that toriseshell anyhow. that vintage brown on a matte black instument was a poor chice. (you didnt need to scratch the body of the bridge just where the strings hit, youll get continuity thru the bridge under the paint.)

You're not really restricted by it having a tone control. Amps that price usually have narrow ranged EQ's anyway.

I am assuming the 5 breaks up way sooner than the 15 watter? Also is anything about noon supercompressed?

Thanks for the great video! I have this tuner too and I have a question. I’m using it with and an acoustic guitar with a sound hole pick up. It works fine at home it doesn’t recognize the high E string on a gig. Not sure if stage or room boise affects anything. Just wondering if anyone else has experienced this and if there’s a solution.

This is not a general problem with the black Harley benton bridges, but occurs with some of them. With this bass, for example, it's the first time I've heard of the problem occurring. I haven't seen any other reviews where this has also been noted, whether at Thomann directly or on other sites.
