Decided to tweak with the pace of this update to make it sound more calm, subtitles have been removed since they were kind of a hassle to work with and were distracting from the rest of the video. As of a month ago this hotel has been taken down. A video from smarter everyday made me wanna learn the history of this hotel.

Pretty sure the real lion died at that MGM fire. The MGM had a cage in the front lobby with lions which perished in the fire. I married my first husband in Las Vegas in 1981. We stayed at Caesars palace. Many hotels at that time were set on fire rumored to be by rival mobs. The smoke alarm went off and my husband and I went down 17 flights of stairs with our suitcases and got out safely. That turned out to be a false alarm we were told but I wonder if that were true. My parents loved Vegas. We stayed at the Flamingo many times, the Aladdin before it was demolished, Circus Circus, the MGM and the Venetian. Las Vegas has changed so much after they took out all the coin operated slots and the all you can eat buffets for $6.95 and very affordable hotel rooms. Since then I believe Vegas has gone downhill.

I used to go there all the time when I was a kid. I remember the starwars toys and soldier toys in glass cases asking my dad to buy me. Seeing that it's gone sucks so much because after so many years I'm going back to Vegas.

I find it wild that the architect who designed the Stratosphere Tower (Ned Baldwin) is also one of the architects who designed the CN Tower as well.

I stayed here in June of 1996 and remember the pool played music underwater. Just a random tidbit I remembered while watching this. I remember going under water and hearing music which I was not expecting.

Went to the Wynn to see a show back in the day. Spent a few minutes on a slot before the show and won $400. WTH, I love the Wynn.

Tropicana RUINED this property! They removed the train and started the downfall of the property and perhaps the city itself.

I remember going to the Ramada Express with my family as a kid in the 90s the train and arcade were so much fun. We went to Laughlin a fee years back and it is such a dump now and very run down.

I stayed here because Randall Flagg did in The Stand. Excellent steakhouse.
