      So you mean the thing I lean on whilst felting? If so it's a felting mat, the one i'm using in this video is from Heidi feathers (www.heidifeathers.com/) I also use a similar felting pad made by woolbuddy which you can get on Amazon, both of them are really helpful. Hope this answers your question, thanks for watching.

    Ha! Extending the legs through the base is a brilliant solution and exactly 24 hours too late 😆 I made a figure last night and used a base like yours; but because I just felted my figure's shoes onto the top of the base; I then had to weight the base to stop him toppling over. I used air rifle pellets to weight it; which worked well except (not surprisingly) I broke 2 needles while I was felting it. I also gave him a sign to hold which helped prop him up. Your solution is so much better. BTW I made some puffins stand up by super-gluing them to a small smooth pebble. Loving your work as always.

    Hi Julie! I have a small problem and I think you could help me with it. So, my problem is that my needle felting projects have been a bit bumpier than before. Do you know a way to make them smoother? If not, that's okay. It would be a big help though, if you know what I might possibly be doing wrong. Thank you! 💕

    • @juliesfeltedfriends
      @juliesfeltedfriends Před 21 dnem

      Hi there, it sounds like this is a recent problem that you haven't had before, have you changed the wool that you're using? Or perhaps the needles? As either of these things could make a difference. It could also be that you're not stabbing the wool enough or as much as before? It can take a surprising amount of stabbing to get rid of bumps sometimes 😊 In case you haven't watched it here is my video on getting a smooth finish: czcams.com/video/NEjy4q1QwoM/video.html I hope this all helps, but it's love to hear how you get on.

    Does anyone have an idea of the dimensions of the head ? I have a stuffed set of bunnies that I need to add felt teeth to so I can teach my granddaughter the "f" sound, by associating the placement of her teeth like "bunny teeth". I saw that Julie said the teeth of her bunny were 1/16 inches wide. The head of my bunnies are 1 3/4 inches wide and the muzzle is 3/4 inch wide. I am thinking that the width of the teeth need to be 1/4 inch to 5/16 to 6/16 inches wide. Any comments

    • @juliesfeltedfriends
      @juliesfeltedfriends Před 28 dny

      Hi sorry for not mentioning the measurements of the teeth in the video, my rabbits head is 1 3/8 inches wide, so quite a bit smaller than yours, my bunnies teeth are 3/16 wide. So I think if your head is 1 3/4 inches I think your bunny will look right with teeth that are about 6/16 or 3/8 inch wide 😊 I love that your teaching your granddaughter in this way, what a lovely idea, I hope it helps your granddaughter and thanks for watching.
