@@morgandelondon knitted long rectangle and then folded in half and sewed the sides together which made the beanie form a square shape, put on head, pull down and wallah!!! two ears in each corner….purrrrrrfect🤗

Yes I did fold it in 2 so I could sew the side and let a hole for the thumb. And it's really warm as it's double layered

There is one on Etsy in the USA from the shop Savlabot. And I got mine as a pack with handle adapter from a Chinese supplier on Amazon. You'll find many if you search for "Tension fork Addi Express"

How to know which tension I should use

This will depend on the size your Yarn. I don't know how to explain it but you will feel and see which is right. I usually use the 2nd tension and adapt from there if I wish tighter or less, if that makes sense?

Go for it if it's the right type of yarn. Recycling is always a good idea!

I will record one but the ears simply appear when you put the beanie on as one side is rounded so it pulls the ears out on the square side. Then I do style by pulling them by hand to the side a little. It depends on the yarn.

Hello! Really liked your vídeo. Just have one question: the waste yarn, that is removed later on, is really necessary? If I just start from the actual rows that will be used the sewing process won't work properly?

The waste yarn is necessary as you're not doing a classic closing but you must crochet the round tube as a flat square. It allows you to see the loops you need to crochet contrasted and keep the whole project from unravelling. It also helps the crochet to be regular without making holes in the sewing (hoping I managed to explain it?)

The machine is called Addi Express Kingsize. The price is around 150 euros. I found it cheaper in a shop in Germany (as it is from Germany). There is a machine from China for 1/3 of the price but from what I understand, it drops lots of stitches
