Croatia Trip 2024 Episode 6 Dubrovnik Day 3 and the trip home
#croatia #travelcroatia #dubrovnik
We added Croatia to the backend of our Italy Trip 2024.
We spent our last day in Dubrovnik unwinding from our whirlwind trip in Italy and Croatia.
We went on a short walk looking for coffee and snacks for the day along Stikovice Bay. It was a beautiful day. In the afternoon we found a pizza place within walking distance “Konoba-Pizzeria Arka”. The food was delicious and the drinks were refreshing.
The next day we made our way back to Split and then to the airport and then back to Rome. We left Dubrovnik by bus “FlixBus” and headed back to Split. It was a 3 hour and 45 minute ride. We booked our bus ticket online months before. The countryside was beautiful. We stopped once to stretch our legs, use the toilet, get a snack and a drink. The bus driver is required to take a break.
Our contact Baldo in Split picked us up at the bus station and took us to the airport. Baldo was our transportation and “Johnny on the Spot” for all things. He also has a smaller bnb that is available through TripAdvisor (Apartments Djanovic) you can contact him through instagram at VintageTomosTourSplit. He has motorbikes that he rents to see the city.

No it is closed.
My recommendation is to record and upload on CZcams in 2560x1440 resolution, as CZcams can sometimes display HD 1920x1080 less effectively. Otherwise, great video!
Thank you so much for these videos! I'm hiking it in September but haven't found a comprehensive guide yet and this is perfect. I started taking magnesium supplements for my anxiety and it has helped a lot! thanks again.
You are so welcome. Enjoyed the trip so much. The anxiety is real. Check out this video. It’s been helping me with anxiety. czcams.com/video/vDwxtvjRnuM/video.htmlsi=tEH7pa87T5LZKLbY

The correct spelling is “Annascaul”.
cluh-han as in hand
tra as in trawler, tra is a beach and lee is the river that runs through the town, the town is part of the lee valley, it directly translates as beach lee, but it would more appropriately transfer into lee strand, does that make sense?
Thank you for the lesson.
Nice video. Thanks for sharing. 👍2
Such a beautiful place. More to come. 😊
Thank you for sharing! I am going to Italy (40 days) next year!! I enjoyed your videos.
Hope you enjoy it! It was such a great trip. Thanks for watching. Still have a few more videos to share. ❤

Thank you I’m going on September.now I have a idea how it looks.

What a beautiful place my friend, this looks great.
Good evening!Yeah-so amazing trip . goodnight~
Gorgeous but a little scary😮
Actually it was pretty safe.
Amazing scenery!!
Such a beautiful place!
So beautiful!
Was it scary in that part where you were at 990 elevation and you said you’re hanging off the edge?!? I was scared watching you 😂
No I felt safe. The trail was in good shape. 😊
Thanks for this video! Would a sedan with 2WD be able to make it down the dirt/gravel road? I’ve heard so many mixed things about the condition of Saddlebag Lake road.
It’s been awhile since I’ve been on that road. It may be okay. No guarantees with all the snow. I’d try and call a ranger in that area. Hope it works out. Great area.
Beautiful video. Thanks for sharing. sub & 👍1
did you guys use credit card or a lot of cash?
Great question. We used both. The smaller businesses prefer cash. If you press them they might take a credit card. Sometimes we did press as we were running out of euros.
Such a beautiful tour my friend, this looks and feels amazing!
Thank you. Enjoyed this hike. First of its kind for me.
Am headed to Rome in Aug! Cant wait…
Enjoy. Get started early in the am. You’ll have the city to yourself for a while anyway. 😉 it’s beautiful.

@@thuthiehiker great! I will look forward to it
So peaceful. I am coming to visit next month. How is the weather there and is it a busy these days?
It is getting busier. My suggestion is to start early visiting any place in Italy. Less people. Get the earliest reservation time as possible.
The weather was great. Not too hot yet. Just a little rain one day.
Beautiful. Watching your video from South africa
Thanks for watching.

So nice
The Academia museum was my fave in Florence! Such a beautiful city! The music is perfect Susie! 😊

Really enjoying walking along with you, your comments, and recommendations. Making notes for my August 2024 walk, especially the food stops.
Thank you so much. When I started making CZcams videos that was my intention. That’s what I look for when I watch videos. Information and trail conditions and safety. I hope your trip is just as amazing. Currently touring Italy and Croatia. Some hiking but lots of walking. New videos coming the end of May.
I would like to do the dingle way in august. Is it signed all the time? I am going alone
That’s awesome. There is signs all the way all the time I would imagine. The signs are not temporary. Does that answer the question?
Yes thank you!!!!! And do you think it is possible to do the trail with the tent?
I didn’t see but a few tents here and there. I would do some more research. I found this online. Can you wild camp in Dingle? Wild Camping in Ireland: An Ultimate Guide - Mako56 With its rolling hills, pristine beaches, and stunning scenery, the Dingle Peninsula is the perfect destination for wild camping. Hope this helps.
@@racheledemarco4080 yes it is. Enjoy.😊
Did this two years ago. Nice hike. Better down hill than up for sure.
Which airbnb
Here you go. I believe the prices went up this year. t.vrbo.io/aCOcJEBfMwb
You did end up at some nice wineries. So many there. The majority of Paso red wines, are full bodied , bold and dry. We go twice a year and belong to numerous clubs there, Law being one of them. I liked that you did mention who liked what and where in your captions!
Thank you for the comments. Such a great trip. I bet it’s pretty when all the vines have leaves.
This was such a nice and relaxing video to cook to, thank you!
Thanks for posting the video. This place has been on my bucket list. The black water birds are called coots. They are everywhere in San Diego. The last time I was at Santee lakes there were so many they looked like ants. This is a nice urban park. We are luck to have some many parks in San Diego county.
San Diego area has great hiking. Thanks for watching.
We are doing a self guided tour with a tour company. This our first of many I hope. What month did you do this walk?
We went in June. We had a few sprinkles a couple different days for a short time. Barely used our rain gear or umbrellas. Enjoy your trip. ❤
Hi Sussie My sister and I are doing the Dingle way Walk June 9, 2024. We are seniors but in good shape. I subscribed to your videos. I watched others but yours are the best. I would like to know what month you walked the Dingle Way. Any suggestions for first time walkers.
Super exciting. The walking wasn’t difficult. We broke it up to manageable miles. Be sure to add some days off. For sure In Dingle. It’s the biggest town. Are you doing it with a tour company or on your own?
Susie. I just found your videos. My husband and I did this hike in 2014 and it was so fun to watch all of your hike. My hubby passed away last year and it brought back so many memories!! We also stayed at Fahamore at the Castle View, but back then it was a dump! I can believe they updated it because it looked beautiful. Thank you for doing such a great job. I’m a believer too and I just loved all your comments. ❤. This summer I’m taking my daughter to do the Kerry Way. I just love Ireland so much!
Loved your comment. So sorry to read about your husband. It’s been my favorite place so far. I hope you and your daughter have an incredible time. ❤. God bless you.
😂 “I see a hot dog!” Great video, cutest hiking buddies ever!!!
Right?! They are so fun. Thanks for watching.
Thanks for sharing.
how many miles until u get to the lil house thing with benches which way u go up my teacher has me doing it again
We started to the left. 2.5 miles to the lil house.
Hello planning on taking this adventure in June may I ask if you made your own accommodations? Or used a booking company? Would you share your itinerary and overnight bookings? Thank you in advance Lily
We booked everything ourselves. Yes I can send you my itinerary. Where can I send it? It’s in Microsoft excel format.
You’re going to love it. Susie had way better weather than we did and I was so happy for her first section. Just remember to stop when you’re tired and enjoy every moment. And we ate at pubs most nights and loved it, but we ate Fish Pie (the best) and scallops and lamb. And don’t forget STICKY TOFFEE PUDDING, and ice cream at Murphys in Dingle.
Your walk takes you past where my great grandfather was born.
Such a lovely place. Ireland was magical. I really enjoyed the people. Thanks for watching and the comment.
What transportation did you use to get from the Dublin airport to Tralee, and does it require prior reservations. Three Canadian ladies doing this hike this summer.
Oh my gosh. I hope you have the best time. It's been one of my favorite trips ever. The trail is pretty easy to follow. We used Alltrails. So excited for you. We took the train from Dublin. We took the local train to the train station and then bought our tickets there. Super easy. Everyone was so helpful. So don't be afraid to ask for help. It was a beautiful train ride. There were taxis in Tralee to take you to your hotel or B and B. You might be able to get your tickets online before you get there.
We did get them online. Just checked with my hiking partner. Here is the website. www.irishrail.ie/en-ie/
Excellent video. You sure know how to make an engaging video. Thank you
I appreciate that! Thank you.
