After the resurrection, they went to the nations to gather the rest of the sheep, which were Jews and non-Jewish descendants of the tribes of Israel scattered among the nations. Salvation for the disciples meant [Jews] being rescued from sin (violation of the law), the curse of the law (which only Israelites had and were under), their enemies, their perverse generation and the wrath of God. Non-Israelites weren’t under ancient Israel’s law or its curse . The god of the bible didn’t save non-Israelites from their enemies and the ‘wrath of God’ was the end of the age judgment on the twelve tribes of Israel in AD70. There was nothing for non-Israelites to be saved from then or now. The story ended. It was ancient Israel’s story. We aren’t part of the story. It’s why Hebrews 9:15 shows that Christ died for those who sinned under the first covenant…which was the twelve tribes of Israel. It’s why Christ’s new covenant was made with Judah and Israel (Heb 8:8). There there were two types of gentiles in the New Testament. 1. Non-Israelites, never under the Law and its curse and not in need of salvation. 2. Non-Jewish descendants of the tribes of Israel who were dispersed among the nations, still under the Law’s curse and in need of salvation, referred to as gentiles because they had stopped being Torah observant and had stopped practicing circumcision. Guess which type of gentile is Sam? According to Jesus in Mat 24:14, speaking to the disciples around AD33, the gospel would go out to the nations and then the end would come. According to Paul, writing in the late 50s to mid 60s, the gospel had already gone out to the nations, the whole world and to every creature (all creation) (Rom 10:18, a quote from Ps 19:4 which pertained to Israel. Also, Rom 16:26, Col 1:6, 23). Obviously, the gospel had not gone out to the entire planet by the mid 60’s. This is proof that terms like ‘nations’, all creation’, ‘all the earth’ and ‘world’ were not universal in scope but were symbolic and had a limited, Israelite context. The gospel went out to the (GK ethnos, people) nations because that’s where the covenant world of descendants of the tribes of Israel (Abraham’s descendants) had been dispersed to (Deut 4:27, 28; 30:1; Jer 30:11; Micah 5:7, 8 Dan 9:7, Acts 2:5, James 1:1, 1 Pet 1:1). The world the gospel was intended for was the covenant world, not our world. All that was left was the end to come, which Jesus said would happen in their generation and which John said the would “soon take place”. The time (their generation) and people meant for the gospel (those under the law, Jews and non-Jewish descendants of the tribes of Israel) came to an end, in AD70. We see all Israel gathered into Christ, saved, sealed, and redeemed in Rev 7. Not a single non-Israelite in view. The story ended in the first century. We weren’t part of the story.

Christ will subject himself to the Father/God/YHWH, because as Christ said at John 14:28 “ the Father is greater than I am”, so he hands over the Kingdom to his God and Father. He would not do this if he were also God. They are two separate beings. In fact 1 Corinthians 15:27 says that everything is subject to Christ, except God the Father himself, because He is greater than Christ. Sam is reinterpreting these verses and over explaining them to support the unscriptural trinity. God himself had these verses inspired and written to understand simply that God the Father is to be worshipped. Not a triune confusing God.

I really really do appreciate a lot of Sam’s teaching. I do have to strongly disagree with this one. There’s a few reasons why. I understand the destruction of the temple and the siege of Jerusalem completely. It does seem pretty fitting that it does last for seven years. I do have to look into the history about the green offering to see if it was ever suspended prior to the destruction of the temple. That will be a key point and understanding some of what he is saying. What makes me disagree the most is immediately after the tribulation of those days it says that the sign of the son of man clouds. Tie to the book of revelation. When it talks about the Sun will be dark in the moon won’t give its light, that all happens immediately before the day of the Lord that Paul talks about and that alone. The day, the Lord proceeded by celestial events. You can find those in Joel 3. The next thing is when you look at Daniel 12 one you see the art angel Michael plays a role in this also. He moves himself as a protector of Israel. Both Daniel 12 and Matthew 24 talk about a great tribulation unlike the world has ever seen. And then says it will never happen again. Understanding that tribulations are still happening, it appears the tax does refer to the amount of destruction. I’m not opposed to scripture telling us that the 17th week of Daniel has already occurred. I just don’t see the evidence for it as nothing of the magnitude that the 70th pick up Daniel can happen again. When you look at the Holocaust and other things, it is my view , that’s probably slightly worse than what they went through and 70 A.D. I do think there is a tribulation to come that the church will be here for to support Israel through and wait for Christ.
