Albizias do grow and survive to maturity in the U.K. but need full sun and acute drainage. I know of mature trees in Norfolk, Suffolk and Essex :)

Hi, lovely to meet you. I've subscribed to your channel. I purchased a T REX around month ago and planted it in my shade border. The slugs are eating it grr. I've placed coir matting around the stem/on the ground with it being a ruff texture and hanging basket coir around the stems. I'll see how it goes. Trying to create a tropical garden.

i got one last year and the slugs had a real go at the lower leaves early in the season. its a fast grower though and its already gotten to tall for them. the few leaves that are still low enough are far to big now as well. get it through this year and it should be fine by next.

Thanks for your reply. I'll try my best to get it through this winter. Have you any tips on how to do this? I've purchased another one but planted it in a pot. 🌴🪴🌱

Hey, thank you so much. If the Rex plant is being eaten by slugs, surround it with a product called Strulch it works brilliantly - let me know how your tropical garden goes!
