Thanks for that great info. I'm looking to buy my first tractor and had this or the MX6000 with the HST in mind.
Those are good saws
The thing I love on this that my Easton doesnt have is the slots in the tray. This allows for debris to fall thru, and not get mixed in with the split firewood. Thanks for the vid
Great video sir and very nice ride
Ok...and?
I have been happy with my 97 5.8l gas F250..
Looks like a great splitter. Give you lot of exercise running around. I want faster splitter but wanna be able to run from the log lift side.
Great job 🪵Colby ❤😊
Ford had been good to me as well.. 1997 OBS F250 HD.😁👍
Just found yiu and subbed. Started my channel last year. Good running saw. I will check out the rest of yiur vids. Take care.
Honda powered Wolferidge pro 28. 2 years ,many cords . exceptional splitter. Thank You Chris
How much did you pay ? I’m looking at one
I got lucky on this one
@@colbysfirewood800 I’m looking at one with 178000 super clean they want 17500
This video is 7 months old and you're recording in 360p????
I agree. Wolferidges' customer support is of the best I've ever seen. Swift with no hastles & because of that I'll stick with them.
How much was the splitter?
Whats the price in this splitter?
Is this available with auto cycle?
Yes it is. I have it on mine. If I remember right I don’t think I had it set right for it to work in this video
Been looking at the eastonmade splitters but that one seems to be nice and there up in Canada
I almost got an axis because they were only 7-8k at the time, but they had a 2 year lead time.
@@colbysfirewood800 Yeah there up there in price now but very nice machines what did you pay for that one and can you get different wedges?
Nice job god bless
Nice to hear god bless
Great video, honest and informative. The MS271 is proof that Stihl homeowner saws are worthwhile given it was used with a dull chain for years. Keep up the good work and be safe.
Thank you!
hi there well done john
Great video! The machine almost looks like it needs to push up against the wedges farther. Doesn't split all the way?
It’s prolly less than half an inch if I had to guess
I have the same machine. It’s awesome! Mine has a 36” beam.
should load at least 3 rounds at a time on the lift...saves time
I can also attest first hand to Wolfe Ridge customer service being second to none. I wont go into the details of the issues I had, other than to say there was an oversight on the specs of the machine I ordered. Not only did Chris see to it that it was put right immediately, but he did so without the slightest hesitation or concern for what it might cost him financially. He went above and beyond for me, until I was more than satisfied. If karma does what it is supposed to do, then he will reap the rewards many times over. Good on ya, Chris. My machine is awesome.
Good thing the "junker-cables" were handy fer the " ole ford".
@Colby’s Firewood - saw a comment where you were saying you wished you had sized up to the box wedge machine? I need to ask why? I am approaching the time where I need to place an order for a Wolfe Ridge, & trying to find out which model to select. Any in site would be appreciated on why you selected the machine you did. Thanks in advance & Enjoy your day Around the Yard! - Brent
Money was the only reason I didn’t go with the box wedge, but I am happy with my machine so far. I just like how the box wedge makes perfect bundle wood
How long of a burn season do you have there in Mississippi? I wouldn’t think it’s cold for long, unlike this miserable state of New Jersey!
Usually late November to late February, but it’s not crazy for it to be below freezing in March on into early April
Gotta do what you have to do 👍👍🇺🇸
I h=think that with another 4 or 5 years of a lot of practice you will turn out to be very good at this. As of now it is very clear that you really don't know what you're doing. Nothing at all wrong with that everyone starts somewhere! Good for you friend have at it!
The real dirty truth Colby is that six way wedges don't speed you up. They are slow and problematic. Your better off with a single or at most a 4 way. Time yourself doing several cords each way and you'll see what I men. I found it out the hard way myself.
I disagree
That thing is slow as molasses.
Sounds a lot different than my experience with splitter E. Whenever I contact them for a problem, it seems their goal is to prevent spending any money and deny that my problem is a problem. When I did get them to send me parts to fix a leak, they sent the wrong part and I decided to spend my money at a local hydraulic shop to get the right fitting. Brand E is too focused on serving the YT community at the expense of those of us that don’t have a channel.
Who is brand e?
@@colbysfirewood800 that blue and orange one in Canada.
@@LakesideAcres ohhh. I hate to hear that. I always thought they were a good company, but I’ve never had one of their machines.
@@colbysfirewood800 the Axis has been great except for a few things. Just frustrating seeing guys in videos rave over awesome customer support and then see a different side when I contact them.
@@LakesideAcres I almost got one of those originally, but they told it would be Dec. of 22 and that was in July of 21
Looks like you are splitting boiler wood…
Wolferidge has been nothing but great for me too! Easy to deal with, always answered my questions. I been very Happy with my 28 HO. Wish i would have got the 35 SHO, but the 28 HO fits my needs currently!
I agree!
You would save yourself a lot of effort by cutting those rounds 22".
I normally cut them 16” but this customer wanted them 20”
How do you like that splitter now bud? Still good?
Oh yes. Wish I would have went a size up so I could run a box wedge
Thank you ,I ordered one but didn’t take delivery yet. best of luck with your machine bud!
Nice splitter love thus type of content new sub here I have a channel with similar content
Thank you!
I'm curious, generally, what part of MS? I spent a fair amount of time in Hancock County after Katrina.
I’m in Lafayette county. North MS
@@colbysfirewood800 Is that the area the dude who stole the King Air a few months ago was flying around?
@@bioniclife that was around tupelo and pontotoc. About 30-45 minutes from me
That’s a load
Yessir it was
Great point about "seasoned dry firewood " I am the Firewood chair for Falmouth Lion's, Maine. We cut ,buck process 24 cord a year. Our 2023 wood is in the Lion's den. Oak takes 12 to 18 months to season.
Got to have it split before any drying happens
Me gusta estoy en chile como lo puedo aser
That big square platform this thing is built off of is completly unnecessary and gets in the way big time. If I had to walk back and forth like that to load it then switch sides to run it I'd be calling Chris about more than broken parts. It really makes no sense because this type of splitter is commonly used with a conveyor and should be operated mainly from the load side. IDK, maybe you just got really ,short arms?
Can you load and operate from the same side? Cumbersome if you have a conveyor and have to go around after loading the lift.
Good luck with your welding school.
362 is about the same cc engine, but way more powerful.
Wolfe Ridge is a top-notch company. Chris will do you right!
Why did u speed up the video
Most people split rounds of 16”…
I usually do. This customer wanted his 20”
