I seem to be the only one who interprets this scene as a the hopeless guy (Jonah) that wants sex and would happily just pay for a woman, and the ebay being complicated is a metaphor for dating and courtship that he will never understand. He just wants to take those "shoes" back to his apartment so he can "wear" them.
