Good Driving, Bad Driving: American Truck Simulator: Realistic Economy Attempt: Part 16

I listened to a podcast instead of watching a video because I still wanted to learn about stuff (be distracted) but decided I care about the content I put out

By Far The Worst Decisions: American Truck Simulator: Realistic Economy Attempt: Part 13

I think paying off one of the loans was the worst thing I could've done. If it doesn't go well I'll take out another loan. I went with those trucks to try to be realistic.
NEVADA!: American Truck Simulator: Realistic Economy Attempt: Part 12
zhlédnutí 155Před 28 dny
I'm running out of title ideas to interest myself and I need to level up bad. Next video wont come out till I can take out a $500,000 loan. That'll be a long video, I think. More terrible decision making to come.

I made it to my destination perfectly fine. My reason for the clickbait title is how close I came to leveling up
Longer Deliveries: American Truck Simulator: Realistic Economy Attempt: Part 6

Finally longer deliveries. Was scared because of time. In other profiles, I've done longer mileage on the first level-up, but this truck barely does 55.

Are you using a controller or a wheel
A controller while not paying too much attention to the road
Que escape trai se escucha bonito el rugido
I got the same exact car, and im not crazy about the 4 speed but I do like how the rpms stay below 2000 while cruising on the highway.
I feel the exact same way. Love how I can be going 60 at 1500 rpm, but acceleration on the highway suck’s sometimes
@@QueLaFe Yeah and the 3.6 has shorter gears with more HP but not as reliable and fuel efficient as the 3.8.
You have to choose between performance or 31mpg hwy. If you want performance then buy a LaCrosse with the 240hp 3.0 DOHC V6. Or the Super with the 303hp 5.3 V8.
Doing pulls with the engine light on like a real man
Absolutely. It was an oxygen sensor at the time
That 4T65E is debilitating af
Absolutely. 10 seconds. But I can go 70 and be under 2000 rpm. 4 speeds are the worst things to ever exist
@@QueLaFe and at the same time these new 8, 9 and even 10 speeds can be problematic when they are always hunting for gears. A nice 6 speed is all you need 💪🏻
@@churchyandfriends 6 speeds are perfect. They seem reliable, have great ratios, and don’t seem to hunt too much. I drove my dad’s 2017 Mazda before he sold it, and the transmission was perfect for the car
LaCrosse is quicker than that. This is a daily driver with a trunk full of shit probably. Empty they go 0-60 in 8secs with a 3800.
@@QueLaFestop crying about the 4speed. That 4speed is more reliable than a 5,6,8 9 or 10spd automatic. It's a fkn LaCrosse CX 3800 200hp. It's not made for high performance. Buy the LaCrosse CXS 3.0 240hp or LaCrosse Super with the 303hp 5.3 V8 if you want performance. This is why Buick made the LaCrosse with different engines.
Goes much faster when already on a roll. Its not meant to go fast because it has basic transmissions files. A tune would fix that
It accelerates fast if you floor it at 25mph or 80 mph. Slow anywhere in between as it doesn’t shift to first at 30-35. This car was built for the elderly and you can tell. It was also built to drive 45 on country roads. I mean, this specific car was bought brand new by my grandfather when he was in his 70s
@@QueLaFe Yeah im already knowing I have a buick lesabre that im turning into a sleeper car this summer. Going to slap the supercharger on it then get it tuned I cant wait to hear the engine whine.
I love it because you decide what gear you want to be in
@@krayzietj that’s awesome. I hear these 3800s are extremely reliable and heavily modifiable
Sounds almost like a v8
Because it is a v8. Its based off the 300cuin v8 from the 60’s. Its just missing two cylinders
No it doesn't 😂😂
How do you like the car overall?
I love it. Very quiet, going highway speeds rpms are below 2,000 unless you are doing 80+, comfortable, just slow and doesn’t have antilock brakes or traction control. I’ve put nearly 9,000 miles on it since I bought it nearly a year ago
Just got a used 2005 Santa Fe with 175 on it for 1600 so I feel like it’s a good deal but it seems like I need an O2 sensor anyone got any tips or suggestions for me
That’s why the check engine light was on for this car, all 4 of mine died within 5,000 miles. See about if it’s okay to have all of them replaced if they look the same age, but I was told at the time to replace one at a time, don’t know why so I would look further into it. I only drove it with one dead at a time and there was no difference with performance or fuel economy that I noticed. However, get at least that sensor changed when you can so the check engine light can still turn on for different issues
Mine has 230k miles it's taken heavy driving for 4 years they do better on the highway acceleration wise I just changed the timing belt couple weeks ago this car will drive anywhere with no problems I've had nice cars in the past and my Santa Fe is always the one still running
Oh I know about the highway, the car is geared perfectly to pass when going 60mph, jumps right to 5500 rpm. I miss this thing so much. Even better acceleration on the highway than my current Buick LaCrosse with the 3.8. I put so much money into this thing and buying a new car saved me so much in the long run, but I miss this thing
I’m about to buy one of these
Go for it
Wait until you start doing some engine mods. Then it's a world of a difference
Every day since March, I have regretted selling this car. But financially, selling this helped a lot due to repairs. If I still had it, I would definitely do some mods with it
@@QueLaFe I usually just repair mine myself. As they get old they do need repairs but they can become very dependable
What mods have you done ?
First grn?
Yes, first gen
This thing so is long geared like damn.
I know, the best and worst part cause it doesn’t accelerate the best but has the lowest highway rpm I have ever seen
@@QueLaFedo be fair it has a 4 speed automatic which is realy only a 3 speed with an overdrive slap onto it
@@cursedcanine8414 it's not a 3 speed with overdrive. It's a 4 speed overdrive, point blank. Big difference.
No such thing as long gears lol. That's called a wide ratio transmission. This is how that 3500lb car gets 31mpg hwy from a huge 3 8 liter V6. There are 4cyl midsized cars that can't even top 28mpg hwy.
@@user-sk1eh3pg6jthe highway economy has been so nice commuting to and from college

Just figurative shit in my car lol
LOVE THE SOUND!! I might be getting a 05 or 06 Santa Fe (forgot the year) and it has a 3.5 under the hood!
Buy it. I sold mine since I kept putting money into it, but it took some abuse and the trans and engine were still fine. These cars are aging, though so parts are getting older and will start failing, but they take abuse we’ll. I miss this car. Glad I still see it driving around Woonsocket
