It's a strategy called Mapless Buried Treasure. It uses the pie chart at the bottom-right corner to find nearby chests
nice
Imagine if it was zero cycle
Its littlebit weard if women make a content speedrun
Drip’s a guy, but why is it weird?
nice
His chat is literal bots😂💀
This is too good to be true well done
Bro, drip is using hacks to find treasures and stuff. This shouldn't count. All world records should be beaten by no hacks, and just your skill. Might be the reason why Guiness World Record didn't give you a certificate. XD
There are no hacks in this video. The method he used to find buried treasure can be performed in Vanilla. Anyways, Guinness is famously bad at keeping track of speedruns; their SSG record is currently given to a run from 2022. SRC is the official leaderboard, not GWR
@@thesurlywombat Umm, actually the reason they didn't count this as a Guinness world record is because they only give you certificate if you beat it from scratch. You can not use things to help you out as you beat the record. So yeah, thats the reason why Guinness world record has not given him one. Also, according to the official site of Guinness it says they only give certificate if broken from scratch and send a video, or make them see it physically.
@@eunjaelee5872 Right, which is why nobody in the speedrunning community cares what GWR says. Like I said, the official source for speedrunning records (not just for Minecraft) is SRC because the moderators are actually knowledgeable about the game, unlike Guinness.
no hacks, just things inside the game. you can do all the stuff drip is using and yes "he used things to help him out" but it is still "from scratch" on a new world.
Best record ever, I think this will last for a while

How does the runner find the buried treasure at the beginning? This run is insane lmao someone should make a video analyzing all the strategies they used
It's a technique called Mapless. Basically, the pie chart at the bottom-right is set up to show if block entities are being rendered (within FOV, but not necessarily visible). On a beach, chances are that the block entity is buried treasure, and the chest always generates at 9 9 within a chunk. There are videos that go more in-depth into the strategy, but that's the gist of it.
I am happy that this got verified :)
this is 100% a preplanned run you can tell because he instantly knows where all gold blocks are in the nether, all the mobs he needs etc. You can also clearly see the preplaced chest with items from the overworld. This is one of the most pathetic claims at a speed run i have ever seen
bastions generate gold blocks at the same location every time👍
Dunning-Kruger at full effect here (or trolling, idk). Gold blocks always generate at the same locations within each bastion type, and every runner has them memorized. “All the mobs he needs” is ambiguous. Piglins always spawn in the same places in bastions, and the blazes are just from a spawner. The chest is not preplaced, it’s buried treasure. You can check for yourself on the seed. This is the verified world record.
wtf did I just watch lmfao.
this :3 RESETTING: speedrunners need a very good seed to get a fast time. that is why the reset many worlds before they load in by using a mod to see the world before. they typically go for beach seeds that they play. Drip is resetting 6-7 instances to get the best seed. OVERWORLD: After loading in, Drip uses the pie chart to find a buried treasure. There is a certain pie-directory that shows what types of entities are creating different proportions of lag _on your screen_. by spinning around and looking for spikes in the "block entities" segment (block entities are any block that stores additional information, like chests i.e. buried treasure) drip can locate a buried treasure. Drip also shrinks the size of the game window with a macro to make this easier, and he loots the buried treasure. Using tnt, drip blows up a tree, crafts a boat, doors, bucket, and tools. Drip boats in the direction of a nearby ravine he sees to check if it's a magma ravine (these don't generate 1.18+). using a method, drip can use the water above and the lava below the magma to create a nether portal underwater. the lava is only 1 deep, making it one of the hardest magma portals to make since it is also a 2x1 magma formation, but drip pulls it off, entering the nether in only 1:18. This overworld route is standard for getting a fast time on the leaderboards, and people don't really play villages anymore. BASTION: When drip loads in, he immediately pauses. This is because entities load in even when paused, and bastions have 30-50 entities that spawn in them automatically, so when 30 entities load at the same time a bastion has been rendered. The entity counter of the f3 menu is in the top left, under "C:" and above "P:" The second number is how many entities are loaded into your area, while the first are how many are in your field of view. Drip immediately sees the second number spike, and briefly lowers FOV. This shrinks your field of view so that you can pinpoint the bastions location (this all is an "e-ray"). However, drip immediately sees the bastion out of the corner of his eyes and it is VERY close. He bridges to it, and enters. There are four types of bastions. Bridge, treasure, housing, and stables. This is treasure, in most cases the second fastest bastion behind housing. Drip begins a stand route starting on the bridge to get all the gold and trade it with as many piglins as possible at the same time. This route is memorized and the gold blocks spawn in the same place every time. The first mistake of the run is to not loot the chests while the piglins were trading, as this would have saved 10-15 seconds. At 2:53, Drip sees the leg of the fortress on the left side of his screen. In nether fog, the farther away from the center of the screen a location is, the farther you can see. Sometimes runners must use a strategy called "pie-dar" (Essentially, you go to a different pie-directory to see what block entities are _in your render distance_, lower it, and increase until a spawner shows up, which is the blaze spawner. Decrease a few and reset, then increase until your render distance is one below the amount that spikes the "minecraft:mobspawner" section and move a chunk in each direction to see if it spikes. If so, that way is the fortress. On 1.16.1, f3+f increases RD and shift+f3+f decreases it.) The route is finished and he is off to the fortress, with everything he needs, primarily pearls to make in to eyes of ender and to travel faster, fire resistance potions to fight blazes, string to make into wool to make into beds to kill the dragon, and obsidian to build the two nether portals needed to have a quick final time of your run. The obsidian was lucky, because normally you only get 10-19, enough for one portal, but drip got lucky and got 20. FORTRESS: Here is the second mistake (not really a mistake, it was the right play). Drip throws a second pearl to the fortress, but as it is flying, he goes in f5 and looks up. This is to see through the fog using the method I described earlier. This causes him to fail a block clutch and fall into the lava, losing 7-10 seconds. In the fortress, Drip spots and kills 4 stray blazes, only one dropping, which is unlucky. Normally runners will decrease render distance to 5 to get more strays to spawn because of the mob cap, but Drip has spotted a spawner and does not need to do so. Drip pearls to the spawner and starts waiting for blazes to spawn. Drip does a method called blaze tnt using the remaining tnt from the buried treasure to free up more space for blazes to spawn. Blazes can spawn in at most packs of four, but if a blazes random spawn location is obstructed it cant, so drip frees up space. You can also do this with a bed, but a tnt is more optimal because it does not create fire and prevent blazes from spawning. Drip builds out a platform behind it for even more blaze to spawn. While waiting for some to spawn, Drip builds a portal to the overworld that he will use to measure eyes of ender. Normally runners will build it in the ring that the three closest strongholds generate, so that the stronghold has a chance to be closer, however drip has 20 obsidian and does not need to do that because drip will find the location of the stronghold, mine or pearl to the coordinates of the stronghold relative to the overworld, and build a second portal with the remaining obsidian to portal inside of the stronghold. BLIND: After drip enters back into the overworld, it is time for him to measure eyes. People use a calculator which triangulates the strongholds location in order to find where it is. This is allowed because people can technically do these calculations in their head, so using a calculator is fine, as it does not tamper with the games code to find the stronghold or anything. An easier way to do it is to throw 2 eyes and have it find where the lines intersect to locate the stronghold, however a more advanced way is to use a boat and a macro that zooms your screen in to measure extremely precise and find it with only one. Trust me, I have no idea how that works either, I just use it and don't complain. Drip does boateye then re-enters the nether. Since drip only has 5 rods, which equals 10 eyes of ender, and their is twelve frames in the portal, he waits for more blaze to spawn and kills them for one more rod (The previous wr left on 5 because he killed strays for the rods and obviously could not wait for the blazes to spawn again. The portal frame can generate on with eyes already in it, and he bet on 2 already being there, which he got). He pearls to the 2nd portal coords, bridges out, and finally builds and lights a portal to end up right inside the stronghold. STRONGHOLD: After entering, he ends up right at the starter staircase, where the eyes point to. The portal is closest to that, so you want to go to it. He goes back to the same pie directory used to find the buried treasure, changes settings to unload other block entities, and spins around. Spawners are block entities because they must store what type of mob is in the spawner, and obviously cause a ton of lag because they must spawn the mob. Despite there being chests, the spawner causes a big one, and Drip uses this to find the portal rooms direction. This strategy is called "Preemptive" and modern runners use it. Drip arrives in the portal room, and the pressure is on. He fills in the frames, and he is in the end. THE END: Drip is going to perform a strategy called the one cycle. The game blows up beds and respawn anchors in the end as an easter egg, but of course, speedrunners have taken advantage and used it to kill the dragon quickly. The dragon circles around specific nodes in the end, and moves to them. It spawns really high up and moves down to the first one. It can be taken advantage of to make specific setups and kill the dragon in the air, called the zero cycle, used in nofear1337 former world record before this one (highly recommend you check it out). Drip did not use this strategy, partially because the dragon was circling around a difficult tower and location to do it at, and partially because he only had six explosives, which makes it possible and comfortable for top runners, but risky on world record pace on an extremely difficult tower. Drip instead sets up the obsidian for a one cycle and runs away from the center fountain. This increases the chance of a perch because it decreases the chance of the dragon having to go out of its flight path to fireball you. Drip sees the dragon snap, and pearls to the center. He one cycles the dragon in a clean five bed securing the world record speedrun of 7:01. Questions: -The chat started flooding because of a website paceman.gg, where you can see streams on pace. -Minecraft is timed off in-game time, so pauses don't count. It gets slightly retimed at the end to prevent excessive pausing, but that's it. Thanks for listening! Any other questions, reply to me :)

It’s a calculator called Ninjabrain Bot. Strongholds generate in a specific pattern, so a single precise measurement is enough to find the location.
