Just got the 1985 version of this a couple of weeks ago. These Whirlpool belt drives were great washers. The machine in this video has the bigger super capacity tub than mine. I think around 1982 is when Whirlpool reduced the size of the super capacity tubs for the energy ratings.
Was this load a warm water wash?
These were classy machines. They do much better than most of today’s machines maybe except for Speed Queen. Gotta love that classic “woo woo”.

What you Mean except for speed queen this is what speed queen got it from, they made their automatic in 1951 they are late coming in automatic washer game they get inspiration to and speed queen capacity is very small while this whirlpool is big capacity
Downy April fresh! Yes!!!! They put the dispenser for softener next to the bleach?
Yes. It has a devider in the small dispenser with two different actuators that pull on a stopper that both feed into a tube on the side of the tub at different cycles. And if you listen closely you can hear the bleach actuator buzz that would be the bleach being released

this is a good washer. I could only imagine this agitator on a direct drive.
I love these Whirlpool belt drive washers, This is a beautiful machine in mint condition!!! This is when washers were made sturdy and cleaned well and not like the junk that is made today!!!
If the bottom of the wash basket has 3 rows of holes broken up into 3 sections then it is the older large capacity machines. I think it is though. These must be around 1980 or 1981 machines I'm assuming.
Is this machine from 1981 or before ? I ask because the 1966-1981 Jumbo tub machines were bigger than the later large capacity models after the slight redesign to use less water.

I actually have a 1963 RCA Whirlpool Imperial Mark XII washer and hopefully I can get a full cycle video of it one of these days. I have video clips of it already uploaded just need to make a full cycle video of it but it won’t happen until I have the parts to fix the water valve arrive.

@@jjoseph21212121 I was more than lucky to get my 1963 RCA Whirlpool Imperial Mark XII set since it was in the Southern California area where live and the person I bought them from was only asking $250 for the set so I decided to go get them. Surprisingly they didn’t need much work done to them at all and I had to do to the washer was replace the hose that goes from the pump to the lint filter, adjust the water level switch by doing the screw adjustment and install light bulbs in the panel and that’s all I have done to the washer so far. The matching dryer didn’t need much other than the usual lint clean out and replacing the fan belt and that’s it.
Wow you really did get very lucky. This one i got for free all it needed was a nut to fasten the motor and a new belt

What's the layout of the control panel? I'd love to see a full load on the default cycle on the highest water level. If the controls are electronic, you should do it where you wait for a few seconds and it will start automatically at the default settings.

Two one for softener and the other for bleach
I'd love to see a full load of light colors on the highest water level on the default cycle settings with laundry detergent and fabric softener.
