Haig Club Classical Advert - Motion Control Videography (robots)
Here's the final video from the Haig Club test shoot. My last video showed a BTS video of how this was produced.
It's been a really long time since I uploaded a CZcams video. I've been meaning to get back into it for a very long time but in a reverse Jurassic Park sort of way "life never found a way". Fingers crossed I will soon.
In the meantime, I wanted to share some recent work. This video was a passion project for me in which I used my custom-made MOCO to create the camera movements. It would be very long to explain so I'll show it off in a future video! I did upload a short BTS video so head over to my profile to see that.
Let me know what you guys think!

Haig Club Behind The Scenes Video

So, CZcams, it's been a while. Sorry this is a rubbish video to kick things off again. It's pretty cool but not what I wanted to show, I've been rushed. I'll be uploading new videos soon! This is a behind the scenes look at a video I created a while ago. This was a passion project and I used my custom made motion control machine. That was my lockdown project. I'll upload the final video next an...

Being creative is what still life photography is all about. The world of special effects photography, paint, powder, liquids, and so on, can be a difficult thing to enter. You can use continous but you'll need a lot of light to have your shutter speed high enough. Yeah reflections can be an issue, it requires some play

Hey Max, i saw your Video and it is so inspiring and awesome. I have a question: Did you use the circular polarizer on the cam the whole time for this set? And is it in the normal lighting without the front light for the label in normal position or did you polarized the set, too with the circular and then put the sheet of polarizer too? LG from germany, Alex

@@maxbridge8921 Hey Max, thank you. That was what i meant :-) so i can put my polarizer the whole time on the cam. but you don´t circle it, right? it is in "normal" position and the only polarizing effekt comes then from the sheet on the flash, right?

Hey, I'm down a product photography rabbit hole for bottles (learning to shoot my for my own alcohol bottle coming out). I think your video is the best one. The two cut out black bits really helps make things easier in photoshop which is better than what other people suggest (to hang a black card near the bottle on both sides and just take different composites then mash them together). Good stuff. Also saw your Haig video ad, fucking incredible

Hey Max. If I photograph large products such as chairs, sofas, strollers, beds, etc. a lens on the order of a 35mm f/1.4 or 1.8 at an aperture of f/8-16 would do a good job or would another focal length of the 24-70mm variety be needed.

Hi, Max! Can you play your FS action several times in the same document (with different settings)? I've recorded mine and have a problem - it messes up the layers, just as you've shown at the beginning, though I've used only the keyboard & menu to record it properly. I guess, it's the naming problem of the Apply image command. If I rename the layers, it works fine again.

I seem to be able to, I just tested it quickly, but I did notice a slight exposure change when running it again so would need to understand why that occurred. I did have to close the group before running it again but there was no issues with layers or any of the things you describe...

@@maxbridge8921 do you use the Apply image command? earlier, when I used Gaussian blur + High pass, I didn't have this problem, because I selected the layers from the keyboard. But Gaussian blurs the edges, so I don't use it anymore.

I think regular milk is not good for this purpose, too thin. If I were you, I'd experiment with a few substances, I often see people using paint, which I think I did try at the time but again It's been so long I think I'd need to test again.
