Rockville Volunteer Fire Department, Inc.
Registrace 25. 03. 2014
From a modest beginning of fifty-one men and one pumper, RVFD has grown to four stations, 300 members, and a front line fleet of 5 Engines, 1 Rescue Engine, 3 Ladder Trucks, 1 Heavy Rescue Squad, 3 ALS Medic Units, 5 BLS Ambulances, 1 Brush Trucks, 13 support vehicles, a mobile canteen, and a restored "ceremonial" 1963 Mack Custom built B Model pumper that protect a population of over 250,000 in our first due and over 1 million people in Montgomery County.
As Rockville further grows, we will need the help of you, the community, to continue operating with the same quality service we provide today. Without you and your neighbors support as volunteers, and through monetary contributions, we would not be here today. Thank you and we look forward to another 100+ years of service.

ROCKVILLE - Co. 3 - 2023
2023 with Rockville Co. 3 - In it is 102nd year of service to the community, Company 3 responded to 7,786 incidents with unit responses totaling 14,662. RVFD concluded the year with over 220 operationally qualified volunteers and a membership of over 300.
In addition to answering thousands of calls for service, 2023 was a year full of highlights. Rockville members lobbied in Annapolis & on Capitol Hill on a variety of topics including maintaining the SAFER & Assistance to Firefighters Grant Programs. RVFD placed in service a new Seagrave Marauder Engine as E703. The unit is dedicated to Fire Chief Scott E. Emmons who devoted his life to public safety in the Washington Metropolitan region. E703 was featured on display by Seagrave Fire Apparatus at over a dozen fire department conferences. Additionally, Rockville Volunteers expanded service delivery to the community by adding an additional BLS transport unit, A733B at our Falls Rd station. This unit is intended as a rapidly deployable resource during surges in EMS call volume within Montgomery County. A group of our volunteers and their families traveled to visit our sister city in Pinneberg, Germany. Our hosts from the Pinneberg Volunteer Fire Department prepared an incredibly memorable trip for our members. We are beyond proud of our over 30 years of friendship between the two departments.
Rockville Volunteers also participated in thousands of hours of hands on training. We again hosted our annual Rescue Weekend in conjunction with BCC Rescue Squad. This annual event provides realistic training for members from both departments as well as participants from throughout the country. Additionally, we conducted our Engine Company skills weekend at the MCFRS training academy & Truck Company Ops weekend at an acquired commercial structure. Rockville also hosted our annual EMS Symposium bringing clinicians from all over the county, reviewing topics from multiple guest lecturers. Rockville Volunteers also attended multiple training conferences throughout the country.
In the future, RVFD looks forward to...
...continuing to be an integral part of not only our community but the greater fire service community as a whole!
...continuing to provide unmatched training opportunities, bettering ourselves at our craft!
...continuing to provide quality fire suppression and emergency medical services to the citizens and visitors of Rockville and surrounding Montgomery County, Maryland!

RIP both Larry and Chief Berry.
Great memories❤️🙏
It was great to see this news reel of my old neighbors. I lived across the street from Chief Berry before Larry built the fire house. I think I was 12 and put together a model 1918 fire truck. Chief Berry came over the house and using the model demonstrate how they would practice getting to the second floor. Then they would compete against other fire stations. I was living at station 3 when Larry built West End.

I never realized that 825 had a fire you’d never know these days
🔥🔥🔥Solid work boys
Imagine making a video of people’s worst day to club music
I think you’re missing the point
The Feuerwehr Pinneberg made also a condolence video about his passing
Rest In Peace Chief Hinde, You Will Always Be Remembered. 🙏
Alan was cool as a cucumber. Legendary.
Why do y'all have Martin Air Horns on the Seagrave?
@philly We have an extremely close relationship with the volunteer fire department from our sister city in Pinneberg, Germany. Every one of Pinneberg's Apparatus displays RVFD decals.
@@RockvilleVFD Ahh gotcha, It's cool to see something more then just a Powercall and Q
@@RockvilleVFD please tell me you use the Martinshorns when responding. They are one of the most effective sirens around!
