Hearing Kevin Sorbo reprise his role as Hercules as sort of an alternate universe take definitely added some oomph to the performance. The only other time to my knowledge that an actor "reprised" their role in the original GOW trilogy was how Perseus in GOW 2 was voiced by Harry Hamlin, who played Perseus in the original Clash of The Titans movie.
