Great job.which pedal are u using bro?
Thanks 🙏 😊 Using Boss GT-1, i’m very glad I invested in that relatively cheap multi board, and very easy to use 😊
You’ve got some serious talent! Your solos are mind-blowing. 🤯🎸
Thank’s alot man, really appreciate your comment 🙏🎸😊
Amazing!!
Thank you, very glad you liked my cover 🙏😊
Awesome What guitar are you playing?
Thanks 😊🙏 It’s the Ibanez JS1200, Joe Satriani’s signature model. Mine is from 2006.
That tone 👌👌
Thanks 🙏😊 In retrospect I could have reduced the base I hear 😅
Awesome 🤘
Thank you 😀🤘🤘
I knew it will be good when I saw your guitar 🙌
Must appreciate you comment, glad you liked my cover 🙏😄 Yeah the JS1200 bites 🤘 Even trough the not so expensive Boss GT-1 sound board trough my pc. 😅
Very cool💯💥💫
Thanks alot 🙏😊

what about at 2:00 ?
What about it?
Bravo
🙏😎 thank you
Hey man... cool guitar! Think it's good for 80s clean pop and also soft/glam metal? or are the humbuckers too "hot" for the cleaner 80s pop sounds... thanks!
Thanks 😊 I find the humbuckers very versatile, the sustaine is not bad either, but to be honest I would change the humbuckers if this was my go to guitar, Seymour Duncan SH-JB Hot Rodded Humbuckers would to the trick, costs almost as much as the guitar 😅 But the lightness and playability on this guitar is a joy to play with. 👍
@@kim-andresandnes5749 yes I keep looking at it, you know when you know you have to have it!! I'd switch out the pickups too, most folks say the quatums aren't very good. You think SDs would be best to give me that 80s sound? Thanks!
@@malthus101 I won’t say that it’s bad, I have the Ibanez JS1200 as well, was planning to use this under the covering of this melody, but as I was recording, one of the strings snapped, and I hadn’t the motivation to change strings 🤣 So I picked up the 520 and I think it work out very well by my ear. I enjoy playing the 520 because of the good radios on the neck, and jumbo frets. The guitar thinness is amazing and for the money I would have thought it’s in the price range abow 10 k. One of those guitars that I will always keep, and as I’m using the “simple and cheap” Boss GT multiboard it is easy to create good sounds like 80’s rock/glam etc. It’s not very noise the pick up’s, and the fret job on my guitar was excellent, didn’t need any set up, played it right out of the box 👍 The tremolo is very accurate, and after playing a few hours after string change it keeps very much in tune even with heavy dive bombs 😁
@@kim-andresandnes5749 excellent, nice!
good tone. nice playing..have a good day sir.
Thank you, very glad you liked it 😊🎵
Great playing and sound ! Just scored one of these a few months back but I find it on the heavy side which is strange for basswood. How’s yours? Also I find the string tension really stiff like. Any suggestions? Thanks
Thanks for your feedback 😊 Regarding the weight, I find it acceptable, but I wish the part that you rest on wouldn’t be so sharp against the leg. The JS should have had it on that part more flattened. Almost have bruises after sitting playing for a while 😅 I use D’Addario 10 strings, don’t find the tension that hard. Even when I bend the strings on the first fret. Maby have luthier to check the set up. I’m a beginner so not much knowledge I’m afraid, but there are alot of answers from the mighty Google 😊 Take care 🤘😎
It's indisputable, the progress is very real 👌👍😀Very good cover song !!! Good job 😀 How much progress has been made in 4 years, between your first steps on Friends and today ! wow 🤩 Congratulations 🎸🎸🎸🤘🤘🤘
Thank you so much good friend 😄🙏🎵 This is on my top 3 of Satch’s songs, I know I tend to say that for most of his songs 🤣🎵 Take care 😄
Sounds like a perfect tune for us bro! Your definitely progressing each track, this is a great track and you did it pround 👏👏.
Thanks 😄 you saying this, means enormous much for me ❤️🙏🙏🙏🎼
Now I got it 🤣👍 We’re Friends like Friends is the name of the song. I’m slow, hadn’t sleepy in 2 days 🤣🤣🤣🤘
@kim-andresandnes5749 - Exactly what I was saying Kim! 🤣
@kim-andresandnes5749 - I'm a firm believer in giving praise where its due Kim. To learn an entire instrumental song is no mean feat without mistakes or retakes is even harder. Keep at it Kim, every corner you turn is closer to being the guitar player you are destined to become! 🤘
@@chromebuoy Thanks good friend 😀🙏 That means a lot!! Like this song, I liked this song since the midd 90’s but got the CD in 2000 🙌 And has been with me in all of my cars ever since. My favorite album from Satch. (Yes I also have bluetooth 🤣) Satch has this enormous catalog of songs, often when I start working on another song from other artists, a new / older songs suddenly catches me from his huge selections of songs. Listen to someone covering “One Big Rush” by Satch yeasterday, and I got hooked to wanting to learn that too. It’s an neverending thrill to learn the songs 😁 You as a guitar player seems so technical and professional, like you are eating breakfast and relaxing, that’s actually a big compliment 🤣🙌 That’s the guitar player I would like to become, playing effortlessly and milking every tone from the instrument with total control. In this cover I did, I had in mind your earlier comment about my vibrato, how to think you’re trying to use a door handle. Hope it was shown that I was more focused on that part 😅
1984......I was 12 when they released this! I think your playing has come on a lot Kim, this was a nice controlled cover with a lovely singing tone. I do have a little tip to help you with that vibrato! Imagine your left hand is holding a door knob, now turn the door knob left and right over and over. Do this a few times to get the feeling of the wrist movement, now place the same hand position on the neck say 12th fret G and hold a note with the first finger, now practice opening the door movement with the wrist. You should get a nice wide vibrato movement with that note. Now bend the string up on the A note 2 frets up using your 3rd finger still using the door handle method and shake that wrist like your opening a door. Ala Gary Moore! takes some practice but if you start using say 9 string gauge at first it will be easier to shake that note with the wrist, then move back to 10's or whatever you play once you feel happy.
Thanks man for your good advice and feedback 🙏😄 I will keep this in mind when I practice🙌😅🤘 Not easy to get the vibrato with the controll that creates a good flow. Sometimes it seems easier depending on the song 🎵 See yeah 😃🎸🎸🎸
Like it.
Thanks 😊🙏
Niccy you are the one done by all billd up belong to my life with my Real Brother Mark and my Real Brayan ❤❤❤❤
Thanks!
Your sound is awesome 🤘
Thanks 😄🙏 I really like this Boss-GT1 that i’ve used on this cover. Added the pedal “Knock Out” by Electro Harmonix, think it gave some % extra feel to it 👌😎
that woah is annoying ngl
Haha! 😅 It depends, I don’t have a tube amp so it sounds very thin without. This melody I like best without the wah even with a tube amp 😅
you play a lot, congratulations 💙 Can you tell me about this song, is it a cover? Does it have a specific or live name? I felt it was different from the original version.
Thanks alot 🙏😊 It’s mainly based on other covers that has been done. The backing track was bought trough www.karaoke-version.com/help/use_33.html I had to shorten the track obviously to match the layover from the first solo and the outro solo. 🎸
Never heard this track before, really nice relaxing melody. Your playing is coming along nicely, Kim,. I reckon if you got a compressor, and put it in front of the distortion then practised the cage system patterns using only legato with the left hand only but picking each string once as you move strings I reckon you could free that right hand up faster. I do this every other day for 10-15 mins.....speed and co-ordination starts to really take off. Nice playing bro. 🫶
Thanks alot man for the kind words, and I highly appreciate the good advices 🙏😄 Wish you a great 2024 filled with joy and 🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸 😀
Excellent cover of Wishful and the passage to 3'32 is very successful 😍 really well done 👋👋👋👌👍 You have really progressed well in the low/high sequences with the pick, which shows that the work always pays off 😉
Thanks a million good friend 😄🙏 That’s to much 😄 But I appreciate your feedback 😀🙏🙏
Gratula 🎉🎉profi .
🙏😊 Thank you.
Wow!!
Wow man, you are a fantastic guitar player! I have this guitar, and one day I will be able to play this song... yes it is a good guitar, and the tremelo is very good. Quantum pickups are very good... I am very satisfied with my s520. some flaws in the wood of the body, but nothing serious... thanks
Thanks 😊🙏 A very good guitar yes, tremolo is very accurate and flawless. I also have the JS1200, the wizard neck and jumbo frets on this S-520 is a joy to play with. Ibanez makes some awesome guitars 😄👌👌 Merry Christmas 🎄
Snyggt 🤘
Takker 😄🌲🎸🙏
One of my favorite Gilmour solos, the bends are not easy to get right. Good job!
Thanks 😊🙏 One of my favorite Gilmour solos also, impossible to emulate his unique style and precision but very fun to learn 😄
My video got copyright claimed and taken down… hope your stays here on YT
That’s to bad, 😔 Never personally experienced that. In my CZcams Studio app, it says that the owner accepts the use of this cover. On some of my covers it says that parts or the whole song won’t play with sound in some regions. I’m very far from being an expert on the rules and copyright issues, feel it’s enough just to learn to play the guitar 😅

This is awesome..! I only started learning guitar recently & I'm documenting my entire learning journey on here so this was super motivational!
Really appreciate your comment 😃🤘🎸 I started for real trying to learn the guitar back in 2020, before that the guitar was collecting dust 😅
@@kim-andresandnes5749 You're very welcome! Haha I wish I'd had the same idea... I was stuck at home for much of 2020 & could've done some serious learning! Glad you wiped the dust off & cracked on with learning though... seems you've come a real long way since then!
@@NewLifeWithGuitar Whatever keeps me motivated to pick up the guitar is a good thing 😅👍 Haven’t had a day with demotivation since I as mentioned started to be a bit more “serious” about wrapping my head around how this thing works 🤣 It can be your best friend in the world, or the worst. It’s really how to approach it, and I have butterflies in my stomach when I finally can solve something on the fretboard that I’ve been struggling with for a long time. That’s pure joy 😄👍 Just dropped by your channel and subscribed, very interesting stuff you got there, i’ll check the videos and hopefully learn something. Thanks for checking out my videos 😊🤘🎸
@@kim-andresandnes5749 Yeah you're totally right when you say it can be either your best of worst friend... the times of peak frustration can have me wanting to throw it out the window but then the times of peak elation have me wanting to take it out and about to show everyone what I can suddenly do haha... looking forward to seeing how you crack on through 2024! It's extra interesting as it gives me a little insight into how the coming years may look for me.
Theory is painful, but I have taken small teaspoons now and then so It doesn’t get to overwhelming 😅 I find it very motivating to learn covers, and when I put them out on CZcams I feel that it’s a project and I have to do my best, the downside is that as you progress the things you thought you were good a year ago, now sounds terrible because your ears develop and a bend that sounded good at that point in time, sounds like a cat that are dropped of a plane 🙀😣🤣But that’s the fun of it, and I don’t take myself to seriously, but as time goes by this guitar gets more and more addictive , but in a very good way. You’ve chosen a very good instrument to play with, an investment for life that will give you enormously much joy 🙌😁🎸🤘
Amazing cover...wow ❤❤❤
Thank you so much, much appreciated 🙏😄
Hello friend, could you share the configuration of the BOSS-GT1
Hello fellow guitarist 😄🤘 I used the following: (Activated the wah wah from the first verse just after the small intro with the power cords, the intro was difficult to synchronize since the backingtrack was very high on volume) FX1: On. Choose GTRSIM. Low = 0. HIGH = 5 LEVEL = 50. FX2: OFF. POL = OFF. OD: On. Choose OD-1. DRIVE = 40. TONE = -1. BOTTOM = 10. EFFECT LEVEL = 65. DIRECT LEVEL = 0. PrA: On. Choose MS1959 I. GAIN = 90. VOLUME MAX = 100. LEVEL = 100. DLY: On. Choose: PAN. DELAY TIME = 871 (1ms - 2000ms) FEEDBACK = 51. HIGH CUT = Flat. EFFECT LEVEL = 60. TAP TIME = 50. REV: On, choose HALL1. REVERB TIME = 4.8s. Awesome 🤘
Thanks 🙏 😄

Your tone is spot on! 🤘
Thanks, I tried as best I could to imitate the tone. I used the Boss GT-1 board. Like it alot, not changing it in a looong time 😄
@@kim-andresandnes5749 sounds great! Did you use tab or ears to learn solo 2?
In this solo I imitated other covers by studying their finger placement 😅👍 On other songs with faster licks / runs I slow down the speed on youtube and do the same, and listen also what I find what sounds the best. 😅👌
