This topic has definitely come up on the podcast before, but I thought it was important to dig into this one a little more!
Let’s talk about coping with unmet expectations. There can be grief around having certain expectations on things both in and out of our grieving experience.
Because of that, I wanted to address unmet expectations and talk about some tools and mindset shifts that we can use to be realistic with our expectations.
And, how to cope with unmet expectations so you can process your loss(es) in a healthy way and mitigate any disappointment or hurt from those around you.

    The ironic thing about grief is that, at the time when you have no appetite, eating nutritious foods, especially fresh fruits and vegetables, is crucial. At the time when you feel unable to sleep, getting proper rest is the best way to allow your body to heal itself from the pain and trauma of losing a loved one. Once I discovered this, I began including this advice in every sympathy card that I sent. When dealing with death, people need important information about how nourishing our bodies can make recovery from grief much quicker. Losing one's mother is such an awful experience. God bless you for speaking so lovingly about yours. I wish you peace. 🎉👩 🎉
