Inside The Mind of a Renowned Portrait Photographer | EP07 | ARTSTRY
With a successful career spanning over 15 years in photography, Tristan Edouard is renowned for his unique style of portraiture. With his ability to authentically capture his subject with ease, Tristan’s career has taken him to new places, both figuratively and literally.
Starting out on home soil in Sydney, Australia, Tristan broke into the music scene working with Australian artists before soon connecting with international artists. This led to his journey in the US, Shooting the likes of DMX, Snoop Dogg, G-Eazy, Drake, and much more, Tristan does not shy away from getting up close and personal with some of Hip Hop and Hollywood’s heavyweights.
After the pandemic in 2020, Tristan’s fast-paced lifestyle came to a sudden halt. Graced with time, Tristan was forced to slow down and reflect on his creative journey as an artist and his own personal fulfilment.
As time went on and life’s milestones happened, he knew deep down he wanted something more. He then purchased a small camera to document his everyday life, his new life as a husband and father, and a complete contrast from years prior. This reignited his passion for photography.
At present, Tristan continues to explore this new chapter in his artistic journey and though he’ll continue his love for portraiture, he looks forward to seeing what’s in store for him next as a photographer and as an artist.

We're not sure what the first machine is, but if you head over to Nick Pedulla's CZcams channel I'm sure you'll be able to find that information. - He has a video where he covers the build extensively that we filmed in this episode. Watch it here: czcams.com/video/eZOY9DBXprI/video.html

The story, the art, the talent! Still blows my mind those pieces are created with graphite and charcoal!

Melody’s approach and mental “mission statement” are as incredible as her artwork. But let’s not miss the artistry of how this story was told as well. Beautiful work, both on the wheel, and in the editing studio!

I feel ceramiscists should be more praised, their works are soo amazing!
Yesssss! 👏
Hello from the other side of the world (Canada). You do amazing work. Your videos are the only ones I listen to from start to finish. They are very inspirational. The process is as inspiring as the finished product you show at the end. You are lucky to be doing wood working for a living. I hope to retire in a few years to do just that. In the meantime I will dream of those days and continue watching you work. Thanks for sharing.
Hello from this side of world (Sydney, Australia). Thank you for your comment! We hope you are able to do your dream of wood working in retirement (or earlier).
Alo 😅😊 ô pp
Fantastic work! Just found this channel, subscribed. Keep up the good work and your channel will grow!
Thank you! We will do our best!
So thankful to you guys for capturing everything so beautifully!
Thank you for sharing your story!
A great video. For those who are interested, Nicks work is very highly regarded amongst all the cabinet makers within my circle. His creativity in design and manufacture do stand him apart from the crowd. I couldn’t possibly say that he was the best, or in the best 10, woodworkers in the world as I just don’t have knowledge of the whole community but I can say that the combination of his work; his ability to communicate ideas and the standard of his videos make him for me, in the top 2 makers and teachers. It’s a very difficult way to make a living - finding clients who will pay incredible sums for a table or something. I would guess that less than 0.1% of potential buyers would have the money and the desire to commission a one-off piece. Now almost retired, I would sell bookcases for £3,0000 or a side table for £2,000 (highest was a huge coffee table for £10,000) but I had a few, very good clients. I hope Nick is happy mixing making bespoke items and producing high quality YT content for a living because I, for one, would very much regret not being able to watch and follow his processes.
Thank you for your comment! We hope Nick will be sticking around for years to come making both bespoke furniture and YT content as well!
Thanks for this, really great stuff., great to see someone live out their passion and skill
Agreed! We can't wait to show more passionate artists. Stay tuned 🙂
Great artist + great cinematography
Agreed! And thank you 🙂
Beautiful Documentary.
Thank you! We hope you enjoy watching the stories as much as we enjoy making them!
This was such a great experience. Thanks again!
Thanks for being a part of the series Nick! 🙌
Both this video and Mylyns miniatures are so incredibly well made and it baffles me how they don't get so much more attention!
Thank you! And yes Mylyns work is incredible! The detail!! 🤯😍
Thank you for the inspiration especially where making everything from scratch, im a paper artist and sometimes i wish I have this machine to help me compensate with a skill i lack, then after acquiring it I’m still not satisfied and I wanted more. Looking at your work grounds me more that an artist shouldn’t need all these stuff to start one and especially making things from scratch it reminds me of my previous self where I improvise everything and I lost it living in the western country where everything can pretty much be outsourced with money. You’re an inspiration to me and keep up the good work, I hope one day I’ll be able to see your work in person and I wish I’ve known your works back when I still live in Sydney.
Thank you for leaving your comment! We hope one day you'll be able to see Mylyn's work in person as well (If you can find it, being that it's sooooooo tiny).
This is beautiful, the whole thing.
Thank you!
Big fan
🙌🙌🙌
I am awestruck by the things Mylyn Nguyen can build out of just coloured paper, cardboard, and glue, her work is genuinely amazing.
So are we! And the detail is just incredible at such a small scale.
One of my favourite artists
Ours too! 🥰
Yayyy Mylyn 🤘🏽🔥😊
