Seeing Exoplanets Like Never Before With the Roman Coronagraph (Instrument Overview)
NASA's upcoming Nancy Grace Roman Space Telescope, a flagship astrophysics mission, will launch with a very special piece of technology on board that will directly observe exoplanets like never before: the Roman Coronagraph Instrument.
The Roman Coronagraph, the most powerful coronagraph ever flown in space, will block the light from host stars, allowing scientists to directly observe exoplanets, or worlds beyond our solar system.
The coronagraph is a technology demonstration that will show how this cutting-edge technology can work in space. These types of technologies will be necessary for future missions like NASA’s proposed Habitable Worlds Observatory mission concept.

A Mission to Better Understand Earth’s Polar Regions (Mission Overview)
zhlédnutí 6KPřed 9 hodinami
NASA’s PREFIRE mission aims to improve global climate change predictions by expanding our understanding of heat loss at the polar regions. The Polar Radiant Energy in the Far-InfraRed Experiment (PREFIRE) will send two shoebox-size satellites into space to study the Arctic and Antarctic. They’ll be the first to systematically measure heat in the form of far-infrared radiation emitted from those...
Why Does NASA Want to Explore Jupiter’s Ocean Moon? (Europa Clipper Science Overview)
zhlédnutí 30KPřed 12 hodinami
Everywhere there’s water on Earth, there’s life. Does that hold true elsewhere in our solar system? NASA’s Europa Clipper mission will investigate Jupiter’s icy moon Europa, which - with its subsurface ocean - is one of the most promising places in our solar system to find environments capable of supporting life. While Europa Clipper isn’t a life-detection mission, it will be the first to condu...

I respect the mission.
لا إله إلا الله وحده لا شريك له له الملك وله الحمد وهوا على كل شيء قدير ايها الإنسان مهما ابتكرت لن يفيدك هذا تريد النجاح ادخل دين الإسلام دمتم بخير
They " lost " the technology to go to the moon but they can put a Rover on Mars...ok gotcha...makes total sense lol
Good luck
Imagine an Earth-like planet found, and when you zoom in, you see lakes, forests, mountains... and then, what?
Everything to forward our ability to advance.
Amazing.
I like it much😊😉🥰🤣
Brilliant mission and team. Great and very emotional video.
I really enjoy these documentaries hearing missions like these and learning about all the space missions that humans are capable of feel me with a sense of hope for our future, corny I know but that's just my thoughts on the matter
What an excellent video. I have been following the space program since I was about 9 years old back in 1957 when Sputnik was launched. I have watched people who I regard as greats in the field including Patrick Moore, James Burke, the incredible Carl Sagan, Brian Cox, Michelle Thaller, Michio Kaku, Neil DeGrasse Tyson and many others. I watched the launch and moon landing of Apollo 11, on TV rather than in person unfortunately, and the launch of the first shuttle. I watched the shuttle as it was transported on the back of a Boeing 747 and flew over Windsor Castle here in England in 1983. I am a firm believer in space exploration and feel this is definitely the way forward for mankind. One day I would love to visit JPL and watch a 'live' launch from Cape Canaveral.
I really enjoyed this movie back in the day. It's too bad it bombed at the box office. I felt it was a little underrated admittedly not the greatest movie and was a slow burn but deserved to at least break even. Very solid breakdown, well done!
Oooff. Can’t imagine being the person to accidentally delete the software for deep impact to make space on the server 😅
Awesome stuff. I love science :D
Unfortunately all this is wrong....
All Hail Terrence Howard
Did Cassini actually plunge into Saturn's atmosphere in 2017?? I'm writing this in May 2024. The big news in astronomy this week is that Cassini will plunge into Saturn's atmosphere this weekend, May 25, 2024. Did we extend Cassini's life somehow?
Please don't throw the returning rocket in the air like that.
I LOVE JPL documentaries. I think I have seen them all now I just wish there were some more recent ones.
its like a song
By the way, the guy who made this animation, also made the crazy frog animations..
for extintion of dinosaurs is responsible red dwarf solar system passing in past in distance of 0,8 light year which affected by its gravitional waves our solar system what occured in massive bombardment by asteroids and massive volcano erruptions as well as magnetic polar switch .....
What a waste
you know what's freakier than the sounds? The sounds coming from the NPC's.
This was so excellent.
Herşey tamam anladik bu videoyu kim çekti😂😂😂

God will not be mocked because God is reality that every 12,000 years earth's orbits precess to eclipse the magnetic gravitational equator of the Sun's OOrt cloud magnetosphere for a 1,000 years causing the end of the era geologically speaking as it is written in the stones & this crossing will be worst than the last . Repent come to Jesus/God's New Covenant Commandment that united & warned us ALL about these the birthing pains before the new moon pulls the ocean tides out & around the planet east to west as in the day's of Noah.
No never mind the barrel image I saw is part of the rover... I looked..
Is it just me ??!!! Is it part of the rover ?!! I think not ... What does nobody see the barrel with the dent in it ?!! It's at the 43 second mark..
If we only have "five to ten years" (why is it never 6-12, or 3-8? why is it always 5-10) then considered it a failed possibility because congress will not and has not acted that fast along with NASA or JPL to get any mission done. If this is incorrect, then list the missions that got approved and realized in under 10 years, starting with proposal to completion.
Can we get a video showing the amount of harm caused by every rocket launch compared to a person driving a car or flying a commercial flight? Now that would be enlightening too.
Look up how long the earth was without ice and then how long it has had ice. If normal is defined as being over 50 percent, then what is normal should not be treated as a crisis.
Life begins with an E and ends in a A, possibly, but also an I and an S. But certainly begins with an E and ends in a H. So said the man whose name begins with an A and ends with an E.
Sound can't travel in space
I like the fact that the projection of an "If" asteroid impact is set on Europe and not America cause America is strong
The voice of the codex narrator from Mass Effect!
I LOVE POLAR SATELLITES 🛰️🛰️🛰️🛰️
I hate when they show reenactment videos. Who was recording the descent of the probe in second person?
