Great video!! I bought A 2012 Range Rover HSE from an auction with a busted air spring front driver side and both front height sensors are broken. I'm not going to drive it like that but when I put it in gear the transmission seems to engage but it will not drive more than a couple of feet. I'm wondering if i have an issue like the one shown in the video or just the suspension fault causing limp mode. Also, it may have been towed without being put into tow mode. Any thoughts?

Same thing that happened to my 06 Jaguar X-Type. Giant crack in transfer case. It made a scraping noise while driving and leaned oil on the ground. Only 82k mileage. Is this a difficult job to fix? What's the projected cost?

I'm dealing with reverse delay myself, and I definitely appreciate the info, but I'm not sure about the gasket between the center support (part 630 ) and the center support steel half (part 636) being an issue for reverse. First, every ATSG diagram I see indicates no gasket listed. That seems because it's an aftermarket part from Sonnax (part# 36743G). What they say about the part: In Ford 4R100 and E4OD units, leakage between center support and hub can cause forward clutch failure and/or poor lube oil flow. This leakage can be caused by a number of problems, including an insufficient number and staggered spacing of mounting screws, surface finish flaws and flatness defects. Install Sonnax center support gasket 36743G to alleviate these problems. Center support gasket has a printed silicone bead to fill in any gaps between the center support and hub. I'll throw one in due to it being cheap insurance. I do have the Tugger kit , but the plate is definitely installed. There are lots of complaints listed in the forums for slow reverse on these trannys. Anyone aware of other known causes for slow reverse on the 4R100?
I just bought a used 5hp24 for my HSE for 500$ 180k kms, mine is toast, steel chunks in the pan, no forward, reverse and the regulator bore is oval in the valve body, I'm going to check the regulator valve in this used trans

Truck was just leaking bad but ran fine
the welds break on the junk ford transmissions,, they're still making them the same way and don't care,, Ford = poor quality

I hope that truck got a pinion seal change and a differential look over! Inspect that pinion bearing after getting that old seal out! New pinion nut make it exactly torqued to spec and crimp it!! Pinion nuts I been told throughout my years of mechanicing is a one time deal.
Can the 6T70 be installed in place of the 6T45?
The two transmissions are not interchangeable to my knowledge
How much did end up costing sense you can't use the old transmission to rebuild?
In a situation when the case is damaged and or extensive hard parts are required a Remanufactured transmission was installed. When we price a job out we always inform the customer of the cost of a Remanufactured replacement before disassembly. Unfortunately you don’t know the magnitude of the damage until it is disassembled. We can often save the consumer money by rebuilding but the parts required are the determining factor in how much money can be saved. I bought an explorer for my daughter off of a long term customer that didn’t want to fix it. The transmission was so destroyed I put a reman in it!!

Hi there I'm in the UK Looking for some advice about a rr sport 2.7 tdv6 with a 6 speed auto box The box failed so I put another main box in but fitted the old transfer box now in a straight line it drives fine but when I turn left or right it starts binding and skipping the back wheels.is it possible that the clutch that is the diff lock in the transfer case to seize and this is what made the main box fail in the first place. I see in your video that there are large forks which move the clutches can this unit fail.ive taken the solinoid out and it works fine.any advice would be great

So I have a 2010 equinox mhc 6t45. I have 1/2/3 no reverse or 4/5/6. I had a solenoid code. Cleaned them and new fluid and reverse worked for a few min. Still sloppy but worked. So orderd new solenoid and gonna clean valve body this time. If my wave plate was broke you would think that the symptoms would not have changed from me cleaning them. What are your thoughts?😢
The techem modules can cause some problems. Check fluid see if there is metal contamination present. If there is it’s likely you have more than a control related problem and the transmission has internal damage.

Just had rebuild on my 96 f250 7.3 with E40D. new billet triple disc converter and transgo tugger kit as well. had no issues with reverse until rebuild done.... the day I got it back, once warmed up, shuddered in reverse. took it back next morning and they took trans out again and replaced pump. got it back again 2 weeks later.. not shuddering, but significant delay, around 4-5 seconds and cant feel trans lock into reverse lik I can when placed in drive. I have to apply throttle before it begins to move when warmed up but still doesnt feel locked in but more like 2 surfaces not making enough contact to transfer the energy.

2008 Range Rover L322 4.4 no reverse no forward park gear moves forward and reverse also grinds when I put on drive or reverse only if I give gas so when I go back to park that’s when it grinds in transfer case

Very common to see this problem around 100k.
How many miles did it have on it?
Please, this malfunction is due to that turbine speed sensor that sits at the driver wheel that is allowing water intrusion. This is a no brainier and should be a recalled, but that wouldn't be the right thing to do!
Going thru the same issues but the only difference is that I put 183k on my suburban. It's about that time for my trans to be rebuilt
