Beautiful Stroll through Sunny Utrecht 4K | Utrecht, the Netherlands | Ambient City Sounds
A church built in the 7th century on an old Roman fort marked the beginning of Utrecht. After acquiring city rights in 1122, Utrecht grew to one of the most important trade hubs in Europe in the 13th and 14th century. Mainly because it's location next to the Rhine river. It even was capital of the Kingdom of Holland for a very, very brief period.
Today Utrecht is the Netherlands' 4th largest city and is still a major transport and economic hub in the country.
