I don't know that, the only facts I know is that: she bought this dress a long time before and keep it and use in this specific day as sort of a statement.

Honestly, she has looked so much prettier in other dresses. I don't think I can do without putting the dragging shoulders straps back on shoulder in these kind of dresses. She looked the best in strapless dresses. Her pearl choker necklace stood out for me. I like such neck ornaments. Her necklines were vast and varied. To this day I don't think I can understand why should I admire her wedding dress. It looked very big to me. What was its significance in royal family? Having such a blown out dress? What did it indicate? I would suffocate inside so much of clothing.
I bet Camilla was seething that night when Charles announced his folly and Diana just blew everyone away in that dress!
That dress that Princess Diana wore was stunning and looked great on her.lovely colour as well.

Only part visible in her body were upper part. 1/4th. She has worn slacks to go with the dress. Black color means she was hiding her true intentions or true feelings. Generally we don't give much thought to what color we wear but in that lack of attention we generally choose black to hide our true feelings. She looked so pretty in white shades and red. Was she going for some wake ceremony that day?
