The ONLY THING I would change about this one of the highest VALUE guitars I have ever seen. That is the bridge pup. Too much twang and low output. Seymour Duncan SSL-6 into the bridge. The OP is obviously VERY much enjoying this amazing guitar.

Can you change volume knobs?

To get the best from a Telecaster bridge pickup, start with the tone control rolled back about 90 degrees, then adjust the amp to suit. This gets rid of the most piercing frequencies, resulting in a nicer tone. I wired my red Tele so the tone control only affects the bridge pickup, since the neck was just right with the control wide open.

I'm at this point in my life where I believe that an epi with upgraded electronics & pickups and a good setup is a better choice than a gibby most of the times. Maybe that's because I have played Gibsons and have demystified them a bit
