I read the book and saw both movies. I think both movies tried to do the book justice, but the book had a slow pace, and it was pretty long. I can't see how a movie could be made from this book without changing the narrative from book to movie.

You hit the nail on the head. The raft out of the plane was the beginning of the end of the serious adventure film. Temple of Doom redirected the focus and placed it more on Jones as a comic book hero. Last Crusade is a mixed bag, it is as if its using the story for the comedy, where as Raiders did the opposite. In Last Crusade it was also the music. It is more of a family friendly amusement ride. The film also gives it away. There is one moment in the sewer, where they pass an inscription on the wall, which is the Ark of the Covenant, and for a moment the music returns to that haunting mysterious tune which was absent in the rest of Last Crusade. They could have unpacked the Holy Grail story much more, and by the end, it is not just the grail that is found, what about the knight. It could have followed with a simple montage where Henry Jones is documenting history while Indy talks to him.

Yeah, I really disagree with some of your takes, especially Crystal Skull. It's a dumpster fire of a film. As proof I offer the rewrite that has been posted by an anonymous writer, that's a far superior version. That script shows why Crystal Skull was far from being worthy

Frank used to work the door at a strip bar in Vancouver called the Drake. I wasn't friends with him but I knew him as I was a regular at the bar. After the movie came out I watched it then the next time I came in I said I saw him in the movie and congratulated him. He pointed to the bar and said this guy here was in the movie as well. It was the dwarf from when happy goes to his happy place who rode the tricycle. We couldn't believe it and immediately bought him a few rounds and he told us how hilarious Adam Sandler was on set.

I’m surprised you didn’t like the opening of the Last Crusade. The scene where he’s in the Lion den and he takes the whip. He swings the whip and gives himself a scar on the chin. The same scar Harrison Ford has. That is incredible attention to detail! And that said I love all three 80s Indy films!

Although the show is objectively terrible I don’t think Eminem is really at fault for it, in the behind the scenes episode he isn’t really shown as more than a voice actor for the show. He’s listed as an executive producer but it looks like all the jokes, scriptwriting, and plot were left up to the other people on the team. My guess is that the only thing he actually produced on the show are the characters (Ken Kaniff is a reoccurring joke in Eminem’s music, Sue and Dave appeared in his song My Fault).

Typically, playing one snap or being on the practice squad affords members of the team to receive Super Bowl rings. But since the replacement players were "scabs," there was some animosity to the situation. In 2018, replacement players for Washington were awarded Super Bowl rings to recognize their contribution. Their wins did help Washington with seeding and home field advantage in the playoffs. This was unfortunately well after Frank Frazier had died. But he's recognized post-mortem as a Super Bowl winner!
