so kind of same deal with my 04 I had a new motor put in it and after 3 months it started going thru throttle body's then mass air flow 02 sensors then catylaic converters failed ,then crank position sensor replaced after it quit starting it started then ran rough and died and now it won't start at all. no codes at all other than the throttle body and when I mean it started going thru throttle body's I mean 1 every 30 days for 6 months . had it to several shops they threw parts at it and it still will not start.

Thanks so much for the info. My belt broke and got wrapped in the compressor and a.c. hasn't worked since. I have 2.4 2010 avenger. Not sure what is going on why my belt even broke.

I have dropped my front diff without disconnecting the knuckles struts from the lower control arms. Might have saved some time.

Dude! Thank you for giving me a nice quick repair. 2007 here......i had put led bulbs in...... Noticed cruise was not working wayyyyyyyy later. YEARS later......i finally decide to look into it.......luckily ypur video popped up when i did a search.........standard bulbs in and bammmmmmm cruise works like a champ now....... I cringe thinking how much messing around with components i would still be doing without your video. Thank you !!!!!

My mom has a 2012 avenger and the ac and heater wrk but doesn't blow as it should. It takes forever to cool and forever to heat up. U do feel the cool wen ac is on n also for heater but it's jus not coming out how it should. Do u think it could b the door actuator. Pls let me know. Wana fix this problem for my mom it's cold here right now thks

The Dorman actuator that I received from Amazon has the spline gear on it (like the last one he showed in this video). The one I took out of my 2011 has the female part to accept a spline gear (like the first one he showed in this video) AND they are both part #604-029. What the?? And by the way, I took both housings apart and swapped the big white ring gears. The part was easy to get out once I remove the two screws but unfortunately I was unable to get the new modified part back in there. I will have to try again tomorrow.

How do you know which is the temp blend door? Temp won’t blend for hot and cold. Hot on driver’s side and cold on passenger side.

Hi there, how did you get the new actuator (with the male part) to fit into the blend door if there is a male part there as well?

Can you tell me how the Hvac control senses when to stop driving the motor? Can it keep running the motor longer than it should?

Is this the best way to get the power steering pump out to replace it??

Mine takes 3 cranks to start most times but sometimes it starts on the 1st crank

Good information bud mine won't crank from key switch but I can start it from starter relay after it starts has information on dash says loss engine power if u let it warm up to 200 degrees and shut it off wait 5 mins and start it runs fine no codes in message center then if u drive it the engine shuts off and won't start back for hours it sounds like same issues u had what u think man

You're going to be replacing them every year or two if you don't put the heavy duty polyurethane bushings in by Jeep perf. They are in Cairo Egypt and they're what everybody runs on their Jeep commanders they sell the regular duty polyurethane ones but those only last about 3 years make sure you get the heavy duty ones that are used with lifts. If you don't believe me look on the Jeep Commander forum or the Jeep Commander Facebook page everybody swears by these bushings and they last a whole lot longer than the factory OEM black rubber ones. Hope this helps I went through three sets of black rubber ones with my 5.7 hemi before I even got my lift whenever I put my lift on I put those heavy duty polyurethane bushings from Jeep perf on there and they are still going strong three and a half years later haven't had to replace them anymore. It will make the differential a little stiffer but you won't have to replace them as often and they will stay in the test of time. They are orangish red

If the bushing let’s go, can you drive it home if you only need to go a few miles or does it need to be towed? I’m thinking about buying one that needs this repair done and I don’t feel like towing it.

Nice Video, as a tip before putting the actuator in make sure the blend door moves freely as that can cause the actuator failure. I sometimes use dry-lube as well.

where can I find aftermarket bushings for the Commander?
