Medium soft wheels like 85-90a are pretty good when riding in a wood/asphalt skateparks, but in concrete skateparks they suck

Anybody else make the early mistake of pushing mongo? I started skating when I was like 5 years old and didn't realize how problematic it can be until much later in life. I still haven't quite gotten used to pushing correctly and need to build strength in my left knee now that I'm getting older.

I'm an old guy just learning to ride an electric skateboard and used the tripple8 brand pads, which looked ok. I fell on the pavement with enough forward speed to slide the elbow pads up, exposing my elbow and forearm to pavement. I lost a lot of skin and damn did it hurt! I'm now thinking about beefy motocross pads, which looks like riot gear armor...

I am 38 years old. I grew up playing guitar, studying and making music. I don’t work in showbiz anymore and I don’t indentify myself as a musician anymore after I rekindled my love with skateboarding 4 years ago. I guess everyone have their own unique path in life. Thanks for the videos man.

Skate police report; CCS gave me bubblely grip tape on the blank complete. Unprofessional? I knee sled( sled is old school skating) holes in my socks and a spot of road rash. More toe push. Slipper ons aren't the best here.

Great video as ever mate, very informative. I’m still batting with basics as every time I get close I injure myself again 😆 But I’m still determined. Just lately I’ve found more like minded people to skate with which helps immensely. Even had my very first bowl session the other day which was both terrifying and funny at the same time. Yes I was terrible, yes I fell off a lot, but with the help of a couple of locals it eventually started to make more sense and I left there slightly bruised but with a HUGE smile on my face. Tonight the rock fakie battle continues 😆🤘🛹

25:17 Great thoughts on the philosophy of skateboarding! My observation is that skateboarding is a great way to connect with yourself and with people. If you're feeling disconnected, getting lost in your head a lot, or just feeling meh, go skate. Skating will change your mind.
