I tried this tonight for a weekend snack. Did everything just as you did in the video, and they turned out GREAT! Thank you for sharing this!
Isn’t there a core that needs to be cut out. It looked liked after peeling you cut the entire yucca into wedges.
Lo q uno busca es como usted utiliza los botones de la olla tmb.
I made this last time with your recipe and it was amazing! Now I was hunting for your video to make it again😊
One of my new favs
Thanks for your video! Thanks am starting my food blog just like you :)
A bit of a hack! We have glass tupaware that’s oven safe, so I make a few smaller lasagnas and only cook one and freeze the others
You are an amazing teacher,am in my late thirties, and want to start a youtube channel but your video has given me the courage to start. You have gained a follower 🎉
Wonderful
Un truco que les dejo para evitar el humo , es echar el azúcar a caramelizar sin aceite, y luego que se ponga del color que guste le echas el pollo y luego el aceite
Gracias por esto
Are you Yt? That matters
The olives were a surprise
Super helpful. Thank you!
You did not have to say oregano like that. 🙄 Talking perfectly good english and then turn on the accent when you get to that one word annoyed the hell outta me. 😒😒😒
I've been saying oregano like that my whole life so I will not change that about myself to make others happy. 🤷♀
GM....where can i find the recipe
I want to try this but am not familiar with the orange juice product you used. Is it possible to name the product, and where you bought it? I live in a big city so I should be able to find it - hopefully. Also, does this recipe have a name? And is it from some particular country? Thanks for this - it really looks very appealing and very easy.
Hi! Bitter orange is used a lot in Caribbean countries. Goya brand carries their own but its not at all stores. Here in AZ I go to my local Asian International market and they carry lots of Goya products in their Latin aisle. Now, if you want to substitute just use lemon juice or lime juice because they are sour and acidic.
@BelquisTwist Thank you for your reply. You're in Arizona? I am, too! 😊 Does this dish have a name? I made it this morning for dinner tonight and I cannot wait! It's so delicious!
@@BelquisTwist Made this again tonight. Shared it with neighbors. Everyone keeps asking me for the name of it. Does it have an official name, please? Thanks again for the clear, easy instructions; so dang good!
@@lisahinton9682 So excited to hear your neighbors also liked them! This is a Dominican seasoned recipe. Its not a typical recipe. My mom made something similar for me and then I recreated it. So technically no name. I should come up with a good name though! Thank you for your support!
@@BelquisTwist Ahhh, a Dominican-inspired family recipe. Very nice. :-) Yes, my neighbors told me they'd never had anything like it, and were hoping I'd make it again soon and share again. (Of course!) Thanks again!
This girl cant be 💯% Cuban. She has no rhythm, which parent if any is not Cuban? I don’t ask Italians how to make tacos!
Why do they leave the head on???
Its interesting, right? That's how its usually served there and on the beaches when you go. Btw, my mother-in-law cannot eat it if the head is on. It grosses her out. She's not Dominican. :)
I'm gonna make this soon! Looks delicious 😋

More meat llz😊
Thank youuuuuu for sharing. Can you pls share the settings you use on your T7i? I've had one for ages and never knew how to fully utilize it.
I want to make this tonight and am putting in my delivery order and the only adobo is what I have which is chili lime adobo which is good but when I lived in RD I never had this dish with a chili kick. I can see in my options to buy what the call adobo Goya but they are cubes of Sazon Culantro y Achiote. Then there are other brands such as Badia the original seasoning, with a lot of ingredients or Dan Os original seasoning again with several seasonings. When I had originally looking at different arroz con pollo and trying to find veggies to go in the dish that I could find in my very untropical state of KS because veggies we used in RD are pricey!!! And there is the platanos but since I am highly allergic to Bananas I could easily become allergic to platanos and when I do order them the store sends them blackened and I say oh this should be good in my rice 🤢 I noticed in the other recipes they put Annette in them abd cilantro of course is a must, it's my go to herb on almost everything. My call me the cilantro queen. Don't know what I would do if I were one of the unfortunate people that think it tastes like soap. I have enough problems with my own red hair gene mutation lol (MC1R) Anyway, help with the Goya adobo would be gravely appreciated Thank you And no, my problem with talking to much isn't in the red hair gene but I could find something to blame it on 😊
I cut in half boil it with skin on for 5-10 mins comes off easily
I’ll def try this it looks good
First time hearing the name yuca instead of cassava
Such great info, thank you so much for sharing!
Hellz, yeah! Thank you, Mrs. Belqui! My homeboy from Samana 🇩🇴 had his Mom prepare this for me! From that moment on, I fell in love with Red Snapper!!!
What is a Dominican fried red snapper? Is the snapper Dominican?
Depends on what it identifies as. May be Korean. May be Scottish. 🤷🏽♂️
No it’s from Jamaica
Is the voice over to be done after editing?
Yes, it is.
Thank you..I have started my CZcams cooking channel just 2 months back.. This explanation is kind of helping me..I will to keep coming back to take it step by step😅
You are welcome!
Soy Sauce???
Yep! My mom learned it that way from her mom in DR.
This is the same as stew chicken from anglo caribbean. Wow. Only difference is we dont use cilantro so much or olives. Instead we would add hot pepper and thyme. But its basically the same ❤
Interesting!
oh no I didn't catch the oven temperature or time in oven :( I would love to make it!
Hi! Bake at 425º degrees for 40 minutes or until they are golden, flipping them halfway through. 😊
I just made this. It was sooooo good! It was better than what I was hoping it would be!
You’re so gorgeous hope you share more soon
Thank you! I will soon. I have some updates to that video. :)

Please tell me the tripod that you use I have a tripod, but yours seems way more sturdier than mine. Not the overhead one, but the one that you used that you moved around each time please and thank you and you’re doing a great job. I’m learning so much from you.
Hi! I have the details of all I use in the description of the video. I added the tripod link below for you. AmazonBasics amzn.to/3uqxyzt
@@BelquisTwist Thanks for your quick response!
@@BelquisTwist when I go into your store, I find T-shirts to purchase. Do you have a list of the product to use? I’m curious to know the camera used in this video. Please know that I am a beginner when it comes to photography. I’ve always use my iPhone but I’m very interested in broadening my horizon two actual cameras in at my phone.
I used Canon T7i with a 18-55mm lens to shoot this. But my phone for the recipe. When I take pictures of the finished food, I use a 50mm lens. It’s a great starter lens for food photography.
Great video! Question for you… I’d like to start with just my iPhone 11pro only showing my stove and not my voice too…. How do I turn off the microphone part so it doesn’t pick up my voice or my kids in the background? Thanks 🙏
Hi! After you record, you open the video, hit edit on top right and then click on the sound icon on the left. That silences the video. It should stay that way if upload it to editing app. The editing app should also have a mute button for the video. Then you can do voiceover and/or add music over it. I edit on my computer and I mute it there. I hope that helps! While you are at it, check out my video on how I shoot with my phone. I believe I may have had the iPhone 11 or 10 in that video. I can't recall right now. I hope I was helpful! czcams.com/video/J2AGHq-Y4yE/video.htmlsi=UAbqpUHt54_VgC5l
Are you talking about the CZcams app for editing before uploading? Thanks 🙏 😊
@@JO86666 Yes and any other editing app will have that option as well.
