When you had 3 pitchbacks, could you have exhausted nova to attack for 1, exhaust helmet to pay for pitchback, and then ready the helmet and then play another pitchback? Both are responses, one is after you use a basic activation ready the helmet the other is basic attack do 4 dmg. Thoughts?

Cap is my favorite hero to introduce the game to someone. They nailed it with him being a reliable go-to hero.

Do you have to play your defense cards before the villain's boost card is shown? To me it would make more sense to defend, wait to see what the boosted card is and then decide if you need to play a defense card to boost your defense if you needed to. Otherwise you could be wasting a card for no real reason.

You played Hulk's triple resource card in alter ego, which he can't do. His resource card can only be played in hero form.

I really like your channel. I want to give a little background so you don’t think I am an idiot I have been playing board games since 1965. Back when I could get a game for about $10 and they had 4 page rules. Its true. The were military simulation games from Avalon Hill. Games have advanced and I play Advanced Squad Leader. I am willing to bet nobody here has ever played it. I bring it up because is one of the most detailed and complex games out there. But yet I struggle with Marvel Champions & Lord of the Rings. Both of these are similar. I just finished my first game of Spiderman ve Rhino that I won. I am know trying Ironman vs Klaw. First game bad. Right off the bat I had two schemes and a minion out. Anyway where I have my problems with both games is the cards. I find no mater what I do I have questions about every card that comes up and then later I find out I made a mistake. I did make it through the 1st scenario of LOTR btw. I do find this a little frustrating. I do want to say I admire the designers for the amount of work they put in. I dose seem to me they could have made a beginner one time scenario were you pick any hero just the basic cards no enemies, no side schemes. Maybe Rhino as he seem pretty basic just his cards and his basics. It probably would not be very satisfying but when you play the same game you add the side schemes, then the aspects that way you get a feel for the play in a segmented fashion? I do feel its a way to get younger player into it easier.

I think resourceful is such a slept on card for someone characters like hulk, nova, and jubilee. Wild resource or if you run out of stuff to spend it on, pay a resource to have it for later.

Did not know that worldmind doesn’t count to your hand size at the end of your turn when you draw up to your hand size. I thought it was only for the mulligan at the beginning of the game lol

Sometimes you draw the perfect combo, sometimes the villain does. GG definitely did that time. On a side note: how you like the new hp dials? I was worried they were too small but I want something besides the base cardboard. Mine is starting to show wear just from spinning.

This definitely helps a ton. Nebula looks like a grindy/thinky kind of player, which I love. Justice makes sense with her for sure

I think Green Goblin is the worst villain to impulse “want to push” without being able to one shot. The flight modular really makes it worse. FFG really knows how to make player tick. The hardest part about thus challenge is if your life ever gets 2 or below, you can’t flip down and has to stare and overkill villain.

Wow, that is funny. I just finished my game with him on this challenge expert. Took me 6 tries (4 in protection) and last 2 in aggression. It was insanely difficult. Venom goblin has so much attacks and some of them add stage number. So punishing in expert

I used the same Thor protection deck as VillianTheory. Took two attempts but I loved the deck and never played Thor in protection before.

It was actually refreshing to see a realistic loss. When I see people always win, it makes it frustrating when I lose. Mutagen Goblin is one of my least favorites. But everyone else seems to love him.

Hand 1: All copies of The Power In All Of Us in the deck. Hand 2: Avengers Mansion and Nick Fury immediately after all TPIAOU have been spent. Typical d20 luck lol.

I played Angel/Justice and got swarmed with minions! I wound up losing because of flight's overkill. That upgrade is brutal on Goblin! Great video as always D20!
