I got a 2016 450R and my battery keeps running dead for no reason I can find any ideas any1??

Bonjour j'ai un tornado utility 250cc injection 2015.J'aimerai savoir si vous aviez déjà entendu parler d'un problème qui suit. La machine part très bien . elle roule numéro un pour 20-25 minute puis elle s'éteint. J'attend 1 ou 2 minute et elle repart très bien pour un autre 20-25 minute. Elle a 865 kilo alors comme neuve. Ne prend pas d'huile , ne chauffe pas et tout les filtre changer .On parle sur les forum de la bougie quand elle vient chaude elle coupe l'étincelle ou du tuyau et bouchon a gaz pour que le réservoir prenne son air. Tout ca a été vérifier et cest ok . l'injecteur fonctionne bien car il va tres bien avant qu'il n'arrête . il me reste a vérifier si il y a du feu aussitôt qu'il éteint a chaude. J'attend votre avis svp . Merci

Hi there, Was wondering if you could help me. My 2002 Honda CBR 600 F sport (f4i) won't start, it's not getting spark and I think it's the pulse generator. I'm trying to test it but can't seem to find the specs for it, mainly the resistance values, it reads 500 ohms but not sure if that's right or not, peak voltage I can't test till I buy the adapter. Thanks for any help Scott

U know u don’t have to put lock tight on the bolts I have done small engine work for at least 5 or 6 yrs and never used lock tight and I have never had any problems without putting lock tight on them.
I find out that three diods are dead! They are "closed" in both direction. It is either the three up or the three down in your drawing. But all seems work fine with only three diods? Charge is about 14.6V. Battery 13V, fully charged. I suppouse the voltage is pulsing, but my voltmeter don show that. Should I change rectifier anyway?

What would cause the regulator to intermittently spike at 18 volts then go back to working normally again, if something failed wouldn't always be failed, can shunting switches be bad then start working correctly again

Very good presentation. You referenced a few things that I would like clarification on please : 1) I think you said a motorcycle could operate without a battery if you used a single phase stator wired to the regulator (the silver looking small box you showed.) Did I hear that correctly ?? 2) I have a 1973 Sportster - to convert it to run without a battery (kick start,) I assume I would have to change the stock stator to the single phase stator - true ?? 3) Am I dumb to want to eliminate the battery, and will cause more problems than it is worth ?? Your thoughts ?? Thank you for your info - it really helps !!
You never ever put rtv silicone on a paper gasket. Old timers use grease, next time you remove the part, no scraping and gasket can be re used if necessary. An old drag racer hot rod builder taught me that trick a long time ago. Not hating just helping

Great video, very informative. But I have one question, I have a 2001 Honda Shadow 750 and the wiring coming from the stator had gotten hot and the connector was in really bad shape. I cut the connector off the old connector and installed a new one. When I found the issue two of the wires were in really bad shape with one of them completely disconnected. I believe I got the wires back in their original positions as it seems to be operating properly but was wondering, does it matter what order/position the (yellow) wires from the stator are in when connecting it to the rectifier/regulator? Can they be in any position? Also, can the system work with one wire disconnected?
This was one of the videos I watched to figure out the charging problems on my 2000 Honda VFR Interceptor. Did the other tests and now that I know how a voltage regulator/rectifier really works, I was able to conduct the test and found one leg of the diodes not working correctly. Easy removal, ordered the part, and now we wait...Thank you for the clear, detailed, and concise advice. I'm not a mechanic by any means and electrical has always caused anxiety, but this video made it much easier and increased my confidence to undertake this. Thank You!

I have a Kawasaki KZ440 that has a bad pickup coil...no spark when the engine warms up. Can't find a replacement anywhere. I was going to try to make it work by buying a pickup coil for another bike and do some work to mount it in the same position. My wires are black and blue on the original. The coil I want to buy that looks like it will fit has wires that are white and white with a red tracer. Does the polarity matter on the coil? My coil tests out a 480 ohms...each way of course. How do you tell if polarity matters. Thank you.

Thank you for teaching me. You obviously know more than I do but I have the advantage of standing in an idiots shoes and with the little I know may be able to help explain even better through colaberating. I believe I am better at explaining or teaching thoroughly to an uneducated student. With your complete understanding it is easy to omit what may be needed to have a complete understanding. An example of this is the word rotating and stationary. Adding one word to all your words completes a true definition of what and why. A student should be considered a blank canvas and it may be beneficial to begin by adding….electrical current is generated by sliding a magnet (or is it a magnetic field )down a wire and a wire with a current flowing through it creates a magnet (or is it a magnetic field). I am neither an engineer nor an electrician and have no formal education and surely might need correction by you. I believe Woodruff keys are not always crescent shaped and I believe their slots are keyways not Woodruff keyways. I know of a group of 50k people you may not be reaching that your products and videos will apply to just like me. Thank you again and sell me a few things.
