I love building things and learning. I've always wanted to learn to video edit, so I started this channel by filming the projects I was already doing. I consider myself a jack of all trades and am not afraid of any project, it's a chance to learn something new. Plus it keeps me out of trouble.

Building A High-End Trophy For Less Than $2: Step-by-step DIY
I set out to build my own championship trophy for my annual backyard croquet tournament. Every championship needs a proper trophy or medal to go to the winner, but not everyone wants to spend a ton of money on one. After finding out the trophy I wanted was $700, I decided to make my own!
I took an old block of wood and a trip to the local Goodwill and if I must say so myself, I think the end result turned out amazing.
Follow along as I do woodworking, engraving, and master thrift store purchasing in making a professional trophy for only $1.99.

Thank you for the love, as for the music..... I'm still learning about video editing and "flow". I think I'm getting much better, I had never done anything close to editing previously, learning on the fly. 😁
Great job Brett and the party was awesome 🎉!

@@jimparsons9134 I will just add names to it each year.
Ok good idea
I like the bevel edges
Typical Chinese engineering. It looks like when the third shift of toddlers fresh off a weekend bender came in, they assembled the lower lift eyes upside down. 20 mins with a cut off wheel and a welder would flip those around and give you way more clearance and probably let you get in and out of the cab.
@@haligen33 yes I agree with you that'd help a lot. But even with a bunch of fab work fixing some of the issues it's still not that convenient. Fought me every step of the way.

@@CourtneysCocoNut that's pretty much how it went down, got it 1st take though! 😁
Brevard county FL and neither of the first two online document methods work. Unfortunately no crawl space either.

I'm curious as to why there is no spare?
@@davidnelson5728 good question, it would be a pretty extreme endeavor to change this tire out on the side of the road. You'd need a very large jack and a big air gun. Not to say it isn't possible, just that it'd be a really difficult job away from the correct tools.
needs rock teeth every 4 or 5
Yes I agree, good observation 🤠
Florida and says not allowed at this time. So didn't work
@@floridafam8365 try option 2 and 3
This is what I got for Alabama: Public records searches, in the selected state or county, are not allowed at this time. Thank you for posting this anyway.
Check out the other 2 options if option 1 doesn't work for you. Thanks
Don't forget to add the cost of water, sewer, electric, and cable hookup.
@@kens32052 very true. I'm lucky that I have the equipment to do it all, would be a fun project.

I was thinking about getting one for post driver, not been able to see how they hold up. I think they where made in China.
@@rickypope9016 I have one I can ship you that's made to be a post driver. B_lloyd83@yahoo.com
I think your wrong about the attachment not being worth it. Learning about the crossover valve and how to adjust it would definitely benefit you, now I'm not saying it couldn't use some upgrades especially in your case with a closed cab, but it looks well built and able to take some abuse.
@@naj370 I appreciate your viewpoint. When I made the video my irritation was fresh with all the issues. After "cooling off" and with some small modifications I agree that it could be more useful moving forward. Each individual just needs to weigh whether or not working through the issues is worth it to them. Thanks for watching.
If you don't need this pto shaft for anything else just shorten it.
@@naj370 yes good call
Add a bushhog pto clutch it would stop sudden stop. They're about 80. It goes on pto and the shaft hooks to it. It's for old tractors with full time pto. Did you sell it im interested
@@tonyhagan331 I haven't done anything with it. If you're interested reach out to me b_lloyd83@yahoo.com The only use I've put on the unit is the 20 minutes for this video.
Ya, don't work. Says not allowed at this time.
@@AFpaleoCon there are three options, at least one is guaranteed to work.
@@BrettsBuilds The two online methods didn't work and probing only found my green plastic lid thing and then asphalt past that.
@@AFpaleoCon the green lid is your septic tank.
Hola Gyga
Hola
My problem is there is no septic permit on file the home was built in 1980
@@BillieChristine-d5c even if it's not permitted there will often be drawings made by septic inspectors, assuming it's been inspected. If all else fails, option 3 is for everyone to point you in the right direction. Thanks for watching.
@@BrettsBuilds Thank you!
Looks like it needs grease
Yes, good eye. I mentioned that in the video in the first start up overview. Definitely what it needed but it's still a bit "sticky" on that side. Better, not perfect.
$85,000??? People have lost their damn minds.
We live in a very expensive area, similar builds are well over $100k here.
Looks really nice but the price to sq foot, it’ll just be hard to justify the cost
Thanks for watching and commenting. $300/ft. is the going rate in our area and the smaller the space the harder it is to reach that number. It's by adding extra bedrooms and blank space that makes it easier to drive the price down. As an ADU or rental you can't beat the return. Line of credit payment on this is $800/month and it'll easily rent for $1400+. Making money on day one.
How much?
@@thesweetlou345 $85,000. A bunch of details are located in the video description if you're interested. Thanks for watching!
Love it!!
Super cool right?!
This is what popped up - Public records searches, in the selected state or county, are not allowed at this time. So much for that method.
Sometimes that happens, that's why there are 3 options given.
Bro how did you teach him to all that wahooooo😮
@@kuchambiatud7085 practice practice practice. She knows a LOT more tricks than this. Maybe I'll make a new video soon. Thanks for watching
Awesome job you guys!!!
@@MountainForged thank you!
You need a PTO overdrive protector or a one way hydraulic valve to bypass the motor when it's been stopped. The box at 22:50 is a cross over relief valve. If properly configured when one side gets overpressure it will vent to the other side. You can adjust it to allow the motor to spin down slower, but not as good as a PTO OD protector or a one-way valve.
@@danlandia4399 thanks for the info, good ideas.
Great job but way too hard for me. lol. Very pretty
@@theropesofrenovation9352 thank you for the compliment and for watching!
The saftey bar self looks if you raise the loader just need one to release once back in the cab safe as the day is long
Still makes me nervous and not ideal. Appreciate you watching and commenting, thanks!
How can I contact you ?
This walkthrough video is only intended for embedded Facebook marketplace and Craigslist ads.
As expected because I live in California, public searches are not allowed.
3 options given for this reason, 1 is guaranteed to work
That’s pretty bad. Might be worth talking to the place you got it and just letting them know how awful those welds are. It sucks that you have to fix new stuff but I hope it goes well man
Appreciate it, thanks
That backhoe operator could use this video as his video resume! 😃 Lookin' good!
Back off, he's taken! 😁
The issue is not so much finding the tank, but where the lid is.
Once you find the tank, finding the lid is easy. It's at worst 12-24 inches from any point on the top of the tank.
Wonder how well it would work for a pto driven generator?
As long as it's something you can hook up once and leave it then I think it could be worth it.
Good operator
Thanks for watching
I did the online RME and it told me any search in my state or county is not available. So I did my local assessor and found information about my property, but no information about my septic system.
Depending on the county, you have to dig around for it. Sometimes the records are too old and option 3 is the only way.
Doesnt work in alabama
Try option 2, then option 3 works for everyone
My house is to old, no records in county or on line
If it's older than when records started to be kept in your area then option 3 is the only way, I wish you luck!
Need a bypass valve to allow the fluid to circulate after you kill the flow. The blade momentum is trying to force fluid into a closed valve. Bypass valve will solve your issue.
I think I'm going to opt for never using this attachment again instead with all its issues. I appreciate you watching and taking the time to comment, thanks 🙏
@@BrettsBuilds its not quite the best design as far as ease of attachment... if it were mine id simply devote one or two pieces to it for the year and leave it hooked up...i.e. a post hole digger in the summer and a snowblower for winter. The fact it brings the equipment closer to the machine would make it handy for those applications.
I also subbed. Always appreciate replies, and many times ill check thru the comments to see if they get replied to. Thanks for appreciating your viewers.
That is a good idea, I do have a couple old 3 point attachments that I could leave it attached to. I'd prefer to designated one and like you said, one I use rarely.
What was the solved part? Worst video ever.
It's in the description. This video was originally posted to ask for help. Once I solved the issue I updated the description.
Sadly, after entering location information I was stopped dead by this: Public records searches, in the selected state or county, are not allowed at this time.
There are 3 total options to try, don't be discouraged by the way one.
how do you like it overall after trying it a few times? What is the most you would recommend paying for one?
