Hi everyone, This first vid show you how I fixed the sequential turn signal on my 69 Imperial. Remember, there was only 2 lights on instead of 3. I had not front turn signal light too. I decided to look at the sequential motor ( because the 3 lights bulbs were ok ). I dh to be delicate because it a quite rare part. But what a simple mecanism ! There was only 2 possibilities : - I have some powe...

Many people don’t realize the 1969 Imperial had sequential tail lights. Thanks for posting.
like a thunderbird
Amazingly primitive function. Wild.
Am having a problem with my 69 Imperial turn signals. Had them working fine 2 years ago. Then after about a month started messing up, now even the FLASHER lights do not work. Motor spins, need to get inside the trunk and do some testing.
Hi, the system is very simple. Maybe oxidation on some terminals or a broken cable. If you can here the motor spining, you just to check the 12v and follow. ;)
I had a red 76 hearse just like it hate i had to git rid of it...
I miss her
Except for the wire colors its '66-'69 Thunderbird. The '65 has 4 switches instead of three to cycle out the cam action so it always starts at the beginning of the cycle. When that switch failed the motor never stopped. This item was an option on Imperial '69-'70. Much better than the electronic version.
Very cool
Lovely !!!
très belle américaine ;) , allez vous les restauré ? :)
Hi, No she isn't for sale.
Thanks ;)
If anyone knows of a good 2 Door for sale, I am interested to hear about it !!! Thanks !
Thanks.. great information! I am looking for a good 1969 - 1971 2-door.. Can you tell me, are'nt the lamp housings the same in 69-71 ? I thought the only diff, was that the 1971 has dual threaded bulps in all 4 lamps? I installed running lights on my 69 300,- and in the process changed the two inner lamps with "dual thread" sockets, and bulps, to get more "flash-action" while braking/turning.. :-D
@Danish4ever77 Isn't it ?! :) Actually I have some money problems, I stopped all my restoration projects. I' m living far from my cars. I started this fury after a 6 months immobilization, a charged battery, just poured a bit of gas in the carb , and it started on the first engine turn :p .
@donmcginn Hi ! thanks for my friend's car. It is in France.
@chargalant Hi, thanks ! yes I knew this ! :)
Cool vacuum headlights...they open individually. Did you know this is the only year that had sequential turn signals? Only non-Ford to ever have this feature.
@schamblin45 Yes it is it's original engine. I have another one with a slant six too. Such cars have often small engine here in europe because of the cost of the fuel.
We had one of these, ex-police car with a 440. That's the first one I ever saw with a 225 slant six. Is that original??
I just love a car with hidden headlights. When you turn them on, they look like they're opening their eyes.
i had red 69 imperial i loved that car i bought used in 1975 for $400 dollars it had a great sound system it had secret compartment on door arm rest i would hide my grass there smoke a joint listen Santana music the car was smooth it would glide on the open highway gettin high in that car was great feeling i made out with a lot babes with that car i have fond memories of that car my smoking days are now over im glad these cars are still around
Super adorable <3 Merci pour le partage ^^ 5*
Great Car! I have a 69 Imperial LeBaron finished in "Deep Plum", with a black vinyl roof, and white interior. It's currently waiting patiently for me in California where I will be flying out to pick it up, and drive it back to the East Coast.
Not as nice as the 59'er
@campetc440 Hi ! She has 4 lights on each side too, but 3 for the sequential turn signals. And I think 2 for "Rear". Now it's works fine. The problem was in the sequential motor. But I will check the grounds too thanks, beacause I still have a problem with the front turn signals reminders in the fenders.
cool
@flightmaster178 thanks, do not worry, she will be well kept. I have rebuilt the front brakes now...
yea mine has all that as well, minus the rear head pillows and courtesy lights i think. you can see mine, it's a dark green one. just type in imperial rare on the searchbar to see it. These cars are so rare, and not too many has the options like yours or mine. Keep it real!
I am fixing the cornering lights. They are very rusted and need to be replaced. I will buy two new sockets and connect them to the wire.
Hey ! I have just fiwed it ! It was a bad connexion inside the sequential motor ! . :) Check the new vid. ;)
Effectivement la peinture a bien morflé, mais bon vu l'âge et la qualité des peintures de l'époque, ce n'est pas étonnant. Félicitations quand même !! Moi c'est une DS23IE qui fait mon bonheur.
Hi everyone ! Thanks for the comments ! :) You can see more videos on my account. I'll keep the car in shape, it's a car I wanted for years. I started reparing it ( the antenna does not work i need to change it ). It has minor rust I do not think this car has been driven on rain. it has Power windos, power seats, map light, A/C, rear defroster, 4 cigar lighters, rear head pillows, courtesy lights, power brakes, sequential turn signal and a lot more.
Very nice car! I have a 69 Imperial Crown, in which I plan to restore. I like how you car looks taken care of. Keep it nice! it looks like you also have a lot of upgrades also. like the power windows.
I think you either got a bulb out or a bad flasher buddy. it looks way cooler with all three bulbs doing the sequential turn signal.
Great Car....very nice....keep in shape.
bonjour, merci.
so sexy![= aha.
I guess you are in the process of restoring her??
bonjour, Non tout est normal. :) En fait, le signal du frein à main clignote lorsque le contact est mi et que le frein à main est enclenché. ( the parking brake light flash when parking brake is on ).
Bonjour. Et j'ai mis dans le tableau de bord lorsque la voiture est entrée dans la lumière du symbole de la main-vélo. Qu'est-ce que vous avez cassé le frein à main?
J'adoOOore !!!!
I'm a funeral service professional with 20 years exp., and have avid knowledge of american funeral coaches...... Miller-Meteor has always been a favorite.
Thx ! Have you further informations about that ? How did you know it is a Eterna ?
It's a 76' M&M Eterna
My starter is used ( always open even cold ), I have to replace some parts of the carb ! :( It's à 1976 rochester.
Hi ! It' a M&M but in 1976, M&M has been bought buy other factory. it was "Wayne" that was in charge of the M&M factories ( newly based in south america ).
Thx ! ;)
Cool. I always liked the 1/4 landau roof with the extra windows.
