That’s crazy! Even on my lil island of PR, we have rules that do not allow for anyone elderly to be evicted. It’s only now that the gringos are coming, buying up all our land and trying to displace elderly folks from homes they actually own through imminent domain. It’s crazy! These folks served, and built a lot of our economy after WWII and I can’t understand how we can be so heartless as a culture. In NYC, folks live 15-30 years in an apartment and once the mortgage is paid up, they want to evict the folks who paid for said mortgage. Not at all caring if they’re in their 80s or older. We had a 96 year old couple (wife 89 & and hubby w dementia 96 - also a veteran), and the landlords wanted to discard them. Hmmm

Just think about all the sweet innocent children…. That don’t get the chance because of their parents… if only the world could feel compassion for the unseen… we wouldn’t have all these nasty people ready to take lives… not saying this man doesn’t deserve peoples kindness aswell… glad he was blessed

In 1984 Ronald Reagan lowered the top income tax from 78% to 28 %… and imposed an income tax to Social Security to pay for it…. Maybe government needs to leave their hands off SS so seniors have a fighting chance at dignity! And SS isn’t an entitlement…. WE ALL WORKED OUR ADULTS LIVES TO PAY FOR IT!!!!

We are falling our elders who raised us. The ones that had integrity, morals, and cared about us and our country. The ones that planned the way for us. Then when they get old, we discard them and leave them with no means to live. Thank God they helped and cared.

My Nanny and dad worked til the day they died broke my heart to see them go through it. I wished i could have bought them the world for raising and adopting me when they didn't have to but felt the responsibility for it.
