Hi, The only performance increase these can get from our experience is when a lithium pack is fitted. However we have had some customers in the past with a greater technical knowledge than us play with these and know how to get a bit more out of them. Regards Coot Scootz

Hi Damian, this particular model was our Lead-Gel version of the Hawk. With the test run we did, this gave a range of about 28 miles which included some hill climbs also. Hope this helps. Kind regards Coot Scootz

Hi Ashley, top speed of our mopeds is 30 mph and this particular model will give 60-70 miles range. I have had about 64 miles out of one with a lot of steep hill climbs just to put it in perspective. Please feel free to contact us with any further questions. Kind regards Coot Scootz

Newer models arriving in the UK with slightly more speed and performance increase with lithium pull out, still moped class but much lighter than the current model in this video. Hello Alfie, the battery on this model is a Gel Lead Acid which is very robust and reliable giving a range of a bout 25-30 miles to a charge. There is 6 of these batteries which adds a lot of weight to the bike, we're hoping to have our Lithium upgrade available soon to overcome this. For most the weight and range isn't an issue but with an optional upgrade we hope to provide a lighter bike with a greater range. Hello Joly, apologies for the delay. The Hawk is a great all round bike for the money and like most things comes with negatives and positives. It has good weather protection along with a large amount of storage under the seat, it has a very comfy ride and is a lot of bike for the money. On other hand it is very heavy which can be a little off putting to anyone who is on the shorter side, it has a lot of torque from the 3kw motor but isn't as refined as some of the other bikes. We're hoping to have a Lithium battery upgrade available soon to reduce both the weight of the bike and increase the range. We have a lot of customer's with these bikes and they suit their needs perfectly, however that may not be the case for all and so we always recommend a test ride beforehand if possible. @@cootscootz3168 Thank you very much for answering. I have two other doubts. The first one is how long do the lead acid batteries that it brings last? and the second, what autonomy does it have with these lead acid battery?

@@jolypineda8685 The Lead batteries have a lifespan of around 3 years if charged regularly, replacement packs for these cost around £180 so if you have think of it like a 3 year service compared to a petrol bike it's a great benefit on top of having recyclable batteries. These batteries are completely sealed and use Gel technology instead of acid, making them more efficient and very weather proof. We have had these batteries in a few of our models through the years in extreme cold conditions and they're still performing well. Hope this helps, kind Regards Coot Scootz

Hi Daniel, yes you need either a CBT or if you have passed your driving test before Feb 2001 and you ride that instead. Yes you also need insurance as these full road legal mopeds, 50cc equivalent with speeds of 30mph.
