I have never built an engine, but I'd like to rebuild an engine, is there a book or source if info where all the info I.e. torque specs, lube locations, etc. When I was younger we had Haynes manuals as reference.
How does that compare to a new Honda manufacture in cost/performance?

You could have just purchased a brand new K24A engine, fully built, with a turbo charger for the money you spent.
What sort of filiment did u ise to make that special tool?
It wasn't until you checked the connection, that i thought check the connection lol. Immediately deciding the ecu was at fault is always the catch 22

Am at step numero uno. Pulled the motor off of 04 TSX for 350. Completely gutted it down and cleaned. Almost scary to think the total cost to rebuild these motors 😊

hey, i may be intrested by doing a similar swap, do you use factory honda ECU runing in paralel to the toyota ECU ? or do you have some Hondata custom ECU ? thanks in advance.

You could probably have bought a brand new k24 for half that. Hell for another 6k you could've gotten a complete hellcat setup with pedals, control packs, wire harness, engine, and blower.

What was the intake manifold and exhaust header you used? I’ll be attempting this swap soon and I’m putting together a parts list
Exhaust header is PPE and manifold is the skunk racing one.

@@IGDesignsI definitely feel the same way. 95% of the problems with my car aren't going to get solved until its running and driving again.
You can oil change a 2zz every 3000kms and still end up with scoring on the cylinder walls...they never built these motors to rebuild them over again and again.
Don't stress about a slightly lean lambda at cruise! Peak efficiency is generally around lambda 1.05/15.44 afr. At cruise loads are low, heat is readily managed and knock is very unlikely- a slightly lean condition here is totally safe. If you want to ensure your cat works well you should target 1/14.7, and ideally have some hysteresis around this range to let the cat cycle properly.
More great insight. I was going to dive more into this, all I really know is that it is stoich at 14.7 so that's what I was going to target. Going leaner at first glance made me worried since I'm running 12.5:1 compression so I was worried cylinder temps even at low load. I will definitely research more before I go changing anything. Thank you.

Sound the alarm, it’s happening
Good option for your vague shifting feel is to replace the shifter box and cables from a honda dc5s/r. It will require a hybrid racing rwd shifter bracket and an adapter for the shifter box of which can easily be made up. I ran this setup in my k24 swapped spyder and it worked well.
