where from mate
nice video mate, im hoping to get up there fishing soon, long drive from southampton but im excited to get there soon ive just subbed to your channel mate, trying to do vids myself but i dont find it easy lol, can i ask what camera you was using
Think it is the first go pro it's just called go pro hero one of the early ones
@@fishingnorthwales976 thanks mate need to get one
I used one on my 17t hobie kayak, but now wondering if it will push a 15 foot tri hull fast enough to troll as a kicker. How heavy is your boat?
Would say about 500kg give or take 50 got all fishing stuff on it with 2 people that's only half throttle there too took it out yesterday was doing 5mph at half revs
@@fishingnorthwales976 nice. Dry weight of my future tri hull is ~400kgs and that's before i tear half of it off and make it a center or side console. so the 2.5 i have should work for trolling cranks/limping back to the dock
@@DryUrEyesM8 yeah should have no problem with that on the back
Would that engine be enough for a small 12ft aluminum boat to get around ?
@@joaquinsantillan6257 highly likely pushing mine up a current of 4 knotts with all gear on I was surprised by how well it goes
Peaceful, was that branch a pb lol, thought you had something decent on for a sec, my type of fishing love it and size doesn't matter 🤔
Yeah lol had some big ones there last year. There is so much rubbish in the river sofas tyres all sorts. The small trout do give a good fight.
aber falls?
No small river by dickies
@@fishingnorthwales976 is it by Birmingham
Surface popper in my opinion u want inthat spot
Did have one with me. Will try that next time thanks 👍
Is this purpose as a back up engine?
Yes it is.
Ive found the straits harder this year than last. More weed recently too, i usually fish more towards the Beaumaris side though
Yeah it has been only been around here a couple of times has been a lot better up towards puffin way
@@fishingnorthwales976 yeah I got a little rib I launch from treath Bychan and fire over to puffin, usually get a fish or two. Fingers crossed this Indian summer arrives 🤣🤣
Yeah hopefully. don't want to put the boat away just yet 😅
That is impressive.
How do you get to this spot please
That bass came in at 100mph
Mackerel that was
Have you bought the building at the bottom of the steps? Big signs there for a while saying no access.
No didn't go that way down
Hard going for Bass between the bridges this year 🙄😴. Blanked all summer, went over by Beaumaris. first session, fish 🤷🏻♂️😂🙈
Yeah only ever had them there with bait never with the lures. Hopefully get one there soon
@@fishingnorthwales976 I only use lures and over 3 yrs had 9 out of that stretch, + one flukey sea trout. but in comparison to the amount of times I’ve been it’s not a great return 🙈😂. I envy the lads that are posting on FB on 50+ bass for the year.
Yeah there is a lot of bass there seen loads come out I must be going wrong time 😆
Have you ever float fished rag trotting down with current
No never.
Slipped there once or twice
Yeah it is very slippy there.
Keep them fishing videos coming
Copy yer yamaha
Remember fishing in my small boat off Traeth Bychan back in the day. Had huge bull huss there. Great video, brought back some happy memories x
Thanks. Was out for the tope but nothing just the huss but happy with them.
Great stuff
Seems loud why such a small engine why not a 9.9 hp
Wouldn't want to carry a 9.9 on and off the boat and no need for extra weight
Brilliant, plenty of healthy Bass. Looks a good spot too, is it on the Island side?
Yeah all went back too.
Is that near malcolms
Where is that mate
Abc bait center
That's a massive low tide that buddy. Do you prefer Bangor side?
Yeah don't really do the other side. That's just a normal size tide there the mud banks just make it look really low.
Nice fish, went there tnite. Nothing but loads of mullet jumping around me 🙈😂
Yeah had that when I was there about 5ft away might try tomorrow been quite poor there recently 😕
@@fishingnorthwales976 only bothered trying tnite after seeing your 2 vids from there 👌🏻. Usually I go between bridges but that’s hard work too 🙄😂 (tide rips). Had a good fish last summer in one of the bays just b4 Penmon. Big fish caught from the beach by normal site too just round the corner from where you are here.
Sea zoo? dying to throw a sidewinder through there ? :L
Yeah that did cross my mind 😆
nise
Nice fish lads and good on you for returning it. One point though, get yourself a net, because one day you’ll you’ll end up with a treble hook through your finger and a visit to your local to A&E department👍🏻😩
I was thinking that when I was getting it out and them hooks on that lure are sharp one flip off that fish and it would of had me will be taking the net next time 👍
We’re you living baiting on your lads rod? Or how was you fishing it?
Live mackeral on a running ledger just off the bottom.
What bait were you using
Crab 🦀
Hello, nice video - I got the same engine and desperately seraching some docs like manual or similar. Do you have an idea wherer to get. Thanx in advance Marc
No sorry got this for £25 as a spare and repair but only needed the petrol changing. Sold it on as I needed a longshaft. Wish I kept it as it doesn't need flushing very low maintenance
@@fishingnorthwales976 Thanx!
Nice one returning that fish
I fished here haha
Lovely fish, was that in Cemaes Bay?
Yeah mate
Anywhere special we should be taking lures too @@fishingnorthwales976
hola , estos modelos ,no llevan marcha atrás verdad?
That's correct they spin around 360 that's how you use reverse. So there is just neutral and forward.
Ok gracias compañero
I call that mark the old quarry used to fish there a lot in the 80s and 90s and can tell how long its been the old iron ring has rotten away now lol all the best 👍
Think it's been well over fished now bet it was a lot better back then.
@@fishingnorthwales976 it was one of my best marks to go in them days used to have loads of Gurnards of it and massive bullhuss and conger eels and Pollok on float down the sides on raggworms and bits of mackerel
Brilliant, was it just the one you caught this evening?
Thanks. No had 2 but didn't record the first one only went for a mess about as tide was high and always fish it low wasn't expecting to catch.
@@fishingnorthwales976 That's the thing though. You think you have them figured out and then they change haha. I agree yes it's usually a low water mark but for some reason today was an exception.
@@richardjones2811 yeah true. Thought I was just wasting my time lol
Nice fish that great stuff
@@fishingnorthwales976 Was it near Pwll Ceris? That's where I like to go.
Hello buddy can I ask what type of boat do you use?
Hi It's a bonwitco 400c with a yamaha 30hp 2 stroke.
@@fishingnorthwales976 Thank you 👍
Great little video cpl nice bass
Cool Motor
Would you fish with lures there?
Yeah soft plastics nothing deep diving.
@@fishingnorthwales976 Diolch, I've used peeler for them in the past just a little to the left of where you were and did well. Just fancy a go with the lures now.
Que tal jala ese motor amigo es muy viejo verdad ?
1960s I think
Is this Bangor side or Angelsey
Where about on the straits is this
Looks like moel y don
Where about on Menai straits was this mate ?
Looks like Anglesey side but that's all I can say 😉
Any BASS showing there at the moment PLEASE? in Casablanca there are few about.
No nothing today just mackerel and cod.
@@fishingnorthwales976 many thanks
Hello there! is that Daulphing tried to tell you something? GREETINGS FROM CASABLANCA MOROCCO
That was some nice fishing there I really enjoyed that i am a kid fishing CZcamsr can you please! Give me tips cause your channel has just blown me away I have been subbed for a while but just recently started watching you more🙂
Thanks really appreciate it. Subbed back. I would just keep doing what your doing and keep trying different fishing marks until it pays off (tight lines)
Hi there! what's the best time to fish for bass, where you are now, is it in low water or high ? Here is Casablanca is when the tide is just about to turn in to the high ebb.
About 2 hours before low and after crab bait is the best 🦀
@@fishingnorthwales976 Thanks ever so much.
Lovely jubbly son ! well done .
Greetings from Casablanca Morocco. Great to see you releasing the fish to fight another angler !😉
Only do it for the sport. (Catch and release)
@@fishingnorthwales976 Good man 👍
Fished white beach for years. Not the easiest place to find going up the narrow country lane if someone is coming out one of you is backing all the way back out ?????? Very narrow & parking is very limited once you've got over the cattle grid stunning views bit of a walk over the fields to get down there. Gets very very busy during summer due to mackerel bashers. Only 2 of us one year. Turned around & half of china was coming down the fields leads flying everywhere. Never the less it is a lovely place to fish all year round.
Yeah been there and turned around myself. Very lucky if you get the place to yourself. Lot of dog walkers going there now too so parking is a nightmare.
@@fishingnorthwales976 ok pal good luck in the future & tight lines.
was wondering if can give me some advice, Im staying at pontins in prestyant in july, where would be best to fish on coast, Im disabled so walking is a no no, and what baits would be best from which beach ?
Bit out my way havnt really done a lot of fishing down that part but the beach there is supposed to be alright lug rag or crab should do you good.
@@fishingnorthwales976 Thanks for replying
@@philiphodgkinson6342 Hi there, I know a perfect place for you, but you need to drive to colwyn bay promenade. get off A55 turn right towards the promenade then right again. free parking and you can fish white sitting in your car.
@@pussycatlover6522 I think I know where you mean , is water there at low tide ? was thinking on rhyl habour, there allways some water there for boats, as I remember, thanks for reply
