My ONKYO HT-R393 started malfunctioning after almost 10 years of usage. First ‘Check Sp Wire’ error appeared & resulted in auto shutdown by protection mode. I cleaned the internals for heavy dust and did factory reset. The errors disappeared, but a new problem emerged. The unit switched ‘ON’ without any error but ultimately rested with ‘Headphone' mode, disconnecting all external speakers. My place Coimbatore is a big city, but none of the local electronic shops are keen to service, either they said ‘no parts available for Onkyo’ or demanding more time to repair. I just thought of trying with this 'technvs' center, but skeptical as this center is located 100 kms away in a village and not much known about this Service Engineer. Took risk. Honestly, I was surprised as the set is restored to its original condition and returned to me in a week. I am really thankful to him for his personal care and extraordinary efforts.
