You would have to open a custodial account. But if you have a part time job you can have a Custodial Roth IRA. For now you will basically need to have a parent open the account for you and then you can take care of it online. Right now the only company that is doing a true Youth account is Fidelity but you will still need some assistance from your parent. Thanks for the question. I don't believe they will carry over. If there is an option to export select that or do several screenshots, put them in a folder and do your best to recreate them. It may take some getting used to but If youre doing that type of stuff at TD I think you'll be able to recreate those things pretty quickly at Schwab. As far as I know every one gets migrated based on their internal schedule. Yes im still working on the mindset factor. I've always pointed funds automatically to specific destinations investing, savings, sinking fund etc which is still budgeting but not completely the YNAB way so I will have to continue wrestling with it. So Think or swim is simply a trading platform (designed for active traders) under the TD Ameritrade brokerage firm. All of them are now owned by Charles Schwab. Most people, if not all by now, have been migrated to Schwab and should have access to the Think Or swim platform.

I did great for myself with the TD app, Being able to do much needed research with great charts, A great interface that was easy to see all my cost basis, dividends, options etc. I outperform SPY by double digits thanks to my perspicacity and ability to hedge positions in real time while at work thru a nice mobile interface. Now that is gone. Schwab, The unscrupulous shit company that was screwing people in 2008 intentionally ruined it because it was too good. That is the truth, They took away my ability to hedge and trade in real time. Taking away my ability to hedge myself during a crash destroys my faith and overall ruins the app as the great investment vehicle it once was. The #1 rated app, Taken by another big corp because it was giving regular people tools that they deemed too valuable. The way of the Corporatocracy, Very sad. Bettinger needs to be buried 6 feet deep.

I'm 51 years old. I have $295,588.25 in my Fidelity retirement account. I cranked my contributions up to 35% and I do all the investing on my own. Fidelity just holds my ETFs/stocks.
