I was there at that final concert in Brisbane. Fucking awesome show, even if there was a HUGE hole in the stage..... Jon and the boys put on a hell of a show for that final show of the world tour!! Too bad it was Brisbane and not all of the Sydney shows.... Brisbane sucks, Sydney audiences are fucking amazing. Best live version of Prayer I have seen in decades, too. 80,000+ people belting out the lyrics at the beginning acapela part... Jon's genuine, heartfelt smile said it all. The crowd took over and just kept going. Goosebumps remembering it now.

Bon Jovi is currently volunteering as a dishwasher to help feed the hungry. He's a Rock Star but he gives back. It's also good to see him back up his old friend and not throw him under the bus, in spite of Sambora leaving the band high and dry during a show. (We've all had our own moments like Sambora so there's no reason to throw stones. He needs to get himself happy again. And being a father was what was important to him at that time. )

Being a dad myself now, I can totally relate to Richie's decision. Of course, you can do that if you have enough money to survive the rest of your life, which he has. But if you child needs you, you are there.
