    Excellent video! How will I know when the grains should be replaced? Should I just toss them after 3 weeks regardless of how they look or smell?

    My first couple batchs were made w a good organic milk but it was ultra pasteurized cause I couldn't fine my normal brand. Did I ruin my grains? I can't buy raw milk in my state 😫

    If you do a second ferment, keep an eye on it because the whey will separate quickly. I usually 2nd ferment for no more that 2 hours, and I mix some pre-biotic powder into it to give the bacteria more food to consume.

    • @ely42609
      @ely42609 Před 6 měsíci

      The finished product doesn't have the grains anymore. The grains are the ones that are affected by metal.

    Hi Tara, thank you so much for sharing your recipy for Kefir, you say its no good to use metal while making Kefir, why did you use a metal stick blender..just curious ! I have been buying polish Kefir(From a local Polish shop,beautiful deli ect, as i think polish ethics for fermenting are very good), since watching your video i have decided to make my own, see how it goes, i suffer from IBD,fatty liver disease and kidney issues...so i will try anything to avoid pharma meds....natural loose tea's( Ahmad green tea, organic chamomile flower,elderflower,calendula and peppermint ground coffee. Making my first batch of kefir now 27/10/23.. have a lovely day🎉 thank you Tara❤

      Eat nothing except high quality Grass Fed beef/venison, organic fruit, fermented veg, drink raw milk and kefir, drink ONLY fresh, distilled or purified water with a pinch of high quality Celtic sea salt, making sure to sungaze at sunrise and sunset, get at least 30 minutes of sun exposure a day on your skin and 30 minutes grounding on grass, sand, dirt or in a body of water. Also, eat as much raw butter/cheese as you want, within reason of course 😂 You need to cut out literally everything that is processed, including all grains, all sugar, all artificial sweeteners, literally everything other than what comes from an animal or nature. If you have FLD you need to cut out seed oils immediately, they're extremely toxic and cause arterial blockages, obesity, so many diseases. Stop using anything not derived from nature in terms of fragrances, toiletries, etc.. they all disrupt the endocrine system and cause all sorts of immune reactions. I've been there man, I've lived it and I am still here healthier than ever. Good luck on your journey 🙏🏻

      Because the grains are the ones affected by the metal, not the milk/kefir.
