Another killer cover bro! Killed it :) can you please do a how to video of the opening riff in the song, unfamiliar - by currents! Or the whole song if you feel like it. Been using Jazz III's for 10 years. The max grip ones for the last 5. It's a good pick, but I've been increasingly frustrated by what feels like the pick fighting me when trying to play faster riffs or runs. I also struggle with stamina and making it seem effortless. I never even conceived until very recently that the pick might be holding me back. After a bit of research I decided to order the Flow Gloss 2.0. A pack arrives tomorrow, and I'm actually excited to try a pick. Planning on giving it at least a month of playing to see if my playing improves.

Great video, very insightful, i've been looking for a good in-depth tutorial of Tears Don't Fall! If I can just give you one advice as graphic designer and owner of a youtube channel with 20k+ subs, you should make better thumbnails, as they're what's gonna bring other people on your channel. I'm giving you my unfiltered opinion because I think you make great content: when i saw the thumbnail I thought the video was going to be old and in low quality (which it ISN'T!), so really work on that or people are gonna sleep on your channel, wich would be a shame! Again, I'm just giving you my opinion, so take that with a grain of salt. Keep it up man, you've earned a sub!
Thanks for the kind words I really appreciate it. And yes this is quite an old video now so the Thumbnail is pretty dated. However if you check my most recent vids I think theres a tangible step up in quality since then so I guess it comes with learning over the years. They are great picks, but they are as durable as paper with my picking style. A 2.00 mm Flow tip lasts ~a weekend. The non-yellow Ultex seems to be cheaper or less solid. The other dark Ultex picks like the John Petrucci models also don't last long, while a yellow Ultex may start to bevel or become round after 2-3 months, in my experience of course. Quite a difference, which also makes no sense since the yellow models are generally a bit less expensive. Love the Flow as long as it has a pointy tip though! It's like a Jazz III 2.0 in that it's generally more comfortable and versatile thanks to the added length

i've been searching for hours for a bullet like sound with a multi effects system. not even close.. but this video made it clear that a stand alone tone is not the same then what you hear in a mix.. this made me a little bit less worried about it. thank you!
No worries! I use all kemper profiles now and that gets me pretty close after some eq’ing etc

I couldn't find the Jazz III XL at the music store. Saw the Flow picks that looked similar in size and shape. Got the .88mm in Tortex and Ultex. The pick that you have is made of the Ultex plastic. Should be more durable than the Tortex or Delrin picks.

That BC Rich looks fantastic mate. Hopefully I can get one for myself some day. But what really makes it shine for me is its insane sound. Sometimes, I just find myself replaying the riffs you teach in your lessons just to hear that isolated BFMV sound. I am looking forward to getting into your patreon lessons but would really want to achieve similar guitar sound first. What DAW/effects/etc. are you using for that?
@@vanquished1805 Yep the BCs are incredible. So for my guitar tone I’m using a 6505 Kemper profile. And that’s pretty much it! I do a little bit of EQing in Cubase 10 depending on what I cover and yeah, that’s pretty much it. My tone is available for kemper users on my Patreon too. Howver if you don’t have a kemper I highly recommend the STL destktop pluggins as they’re incredible
Really nice collection.. BC's are pretry, are they purple?! I have a boring collection, Jackson black, I gots Ibanez black, Peavy Raptor-1 in sun burst, acoustic black SX Cobra, Acoustic Fender country natural colour, one red classical and one black small brand name acoustic, and a blues 3 string cigar box type thing. I had a bass and 5 other guitars, no idea where they are now. My hands are full and havent had time to guitar anything. Joys of parenting 😂
